Leech is a level 8 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, picked up in the Yridia system. The Yridians suspect someone is hijacking Daten from their Information Market, so you scout the system, beat the database thief, and deliver the hacker to Solusta. It needs warp 5 to start and to complete. The reward is 500 Tritanium, 220 Officer XP and an Encryption Key, which makes it a handy pick for anyone working on the Codes mission.
Leech objectives
Three objectives across two systems, with no choice split:
- Scout the Yridian system. Location: Yridia.
- Defeat the database thief. Location: Yridia. Enemy strength is roughly 971.
- Bring the data hacker to Solusta. Location: Solusta.
The first two steps happen where you pick the mission up. Scouting Yridia turns up the thief, and the fight against it is the only combat in the mission. Once the thief is down, you carry the data hacker to Solusta and the mission ends there, with no return trip to your station.

Leech is picked up in Yridia and needs warp 5 to start and warp 5 to complete. Yridia and Solusta are the only two systems involved.
The recommended level is 8. At about 971 strength the database thief is a light fight for a crewed combat ship at that level.

Why the Encryption Key matters
The level 6 mission Codes asks you to collect one Encryption Key from a Risa, Tellun, Yridia or Maluria mission and hand it to Toryn, for 1,500 Parsteel and 20 Recruit Tokens. Leech is one of the Yridia Missionen that pay a key.

Of the missions in this table, Leech pays the most Tritanium, while the Risa, Tellun and Maluria ones lean toward Parsteel. If you already have a key from one of the others, Leech still pays its own Tritanium and Officer XP.
Leech’s 220 Officer XP is more than Raiders or Raiding Parties pay, though On The Run and Smash the Smasher pay more.
Tips
Use any crewed combat ship. The thief is the only hostile, and at about 971 strength it is a small target for a level 8 player.
Plan your route home. The mission ends in Solusta, so if you have other Yridia missions open, finish them before the Solusta leg to avoid flying back and forth.
