Work Ethic is an early single mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you find a Federation scientist working in a dangerous area and bring the scientist home. It is picked up in Obilent or Labac, needs warp 12 to start and warp 13 to finish, and sends you to Opla for five hostile kills and a small Tritanium donation. The reward is 14,000 Parsteel and three Nächste Generation Brecher shards, which is the main reason to run it.

Work Ethic objectives

Es gibt vier Ziele und keine Verzweigung:

  • Finden Sie die Föderation scientist in Opla. Location: Opla.
  • Defeat 5 Hostiles in Opla. Location: Opla.
  • Donate 2,000 Tritanium.
  • Return Doctor Jenson to your Station.

Everything outside your station happens in Opla. You find the scientist, Doctor Jenson, then clear five hostiles in that system. Unlike many kill objectives, these five must be in Opla specifically. After the donation, you bring Doctor Jenson home to finish the mission.

Wo und welcher Warp

Work Ethic is picked up in Obilent oder Labac, which need warp 12. Completing it takes warp 13, the range for Opla.

The game lists a recommended level of 1. No named enemy appears, so the five Opla hostiles are the only combat, and they are the step to prepare your ship for.

Work Ethic rewards

Belohnung Amount
Parsteel 14,000
Nächste Generation Crusher shards 3

Work Ethic does not unlock a follow-up mission.

The Crusher shards are the headline. Three shards from one short mission is a good return. The 14,000 Parsteel more than covers early building costs and makes up for the 2,000 Tritanium you donate.

Another mission from the same pickup systems

Obilent and Labac also hand out It Came From Deep Space, which is worth picking up on the same visit:

Mission Warp zum Abschließen What you do Belohnungen
Arbeitsethik 13 Find the scientist in Opla, defeat 5 hostiles there, donate 2,000 Tritanium 14,000 Parsteel, 3 Next Gen Crusher shards
It Came From Deep Space 12 Find the object in Deneva, pay 2,500 Dilithium, track the signal to Cita Laga 5,000 Tritanium, 7 1 Hour Speed Ups, 7 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups

The two Missionen send you to different systems, but both start from the same place, so accept them together and run them back to back.

Tips

Kill the hostiles in Opla, not elsewhere. The objective names the system, so hostiles in other systems do not count toward the five.

Have 2,000 Tritanium ready. The donation comes after the fighting, and it is easy to spend Tritanium on upgrades and arrive short.

Bring a combat ship. The first objective is travel only, but the five Opla hostiles come straight after, so a survey or mining ship is the wrong choice.
