The Aphelion is a Grade 7 Rare survey ship from the Independent faction, built for mining rather than fighting. Its All Mine! ability lifts crystal, Gas, and ore mining speed well above a standard survey hull, and a large protected cargo hold keeps more of what you pull safe from raiders. You unlock the build at Shipyard level 71. For late-game miners who work the harder corners of the map, it earns its slot.

How to get the Aphelion

Building the Aphelion needs 150 blueprints and a Shipyard at level 71. With those in hand, the build cost is 19,000 Dilithium, 1,800,000 Tritanium, 2,800 7★ Common Refined Crystal, and 700 7★ Common Refined Gas, and the build takes 60 days. The game Daten lists the requirement and the cost but not where the blueprints come from, so confirm the blueprint source in game before you bank resources for it.

Aphelion ability

The ship ability is All Mine!, and it raises crystal, gas, and ore mining speed at the same time. It starts at +500% at ship level 1 and climbs to +2,165% at level 75. Ship abilities are always active, so the bonus applies on every mining run without anything to trigger. Because it covers all three raw materials, the Aphelion works as one hull you can send to almost any node instead of keeping a separate miner for each resource. In practice a higher mining bonus means shorter trips: the same node empties faster, so you fit more runs into a play session and spend less time parked in open space where raiders can find you.

Stats and tiers

These are base values from the current game data; research, buffs, and Offiziere raise them in play. The table shows three anchor tiers.

Ebene Warp (speed / range) Impulse Cargo (protected) Shield HP Hull HP Health (displayed)
1 10 / 1,510 90 380,000 (64,000) 13,378,880 13,378,880 13,378,880
8 10.7 / 3,510 94 840,000 (169,000) 23,571,883 23,571,883 23,571,883
15 11.4 / 4,900 100 2,170,000 (545,000) 45,589,530 45,589,530 45,589,530

Two numbers matter most for a miner here. Cargo climbs from 380,000 at tier 1 to 2,170,000 at tier 15, and the protected share (the part raiders cannot take when they crack the ship) grows with it from 64,000 to 545,000. The health figure is the displayed average the game shows, not a separate shield-plus-hull total.

Weapons and firing pattern

Warm-up is the combat round a weapon first fires; cool-down is how many rounds pass between shots after that. The Aphelion carries a single energy weapon, which is normal for a mining hull.

Waffe Typ Shots Warm-up Cool-down Damage Crit chance Crit damage
Main weapon Energie 3 1 1 1,439,179–1,798,973 10% 150%

The Aphelion also boosts your officers’ own stats as it levels. Its attack, defense, and health bonuses use the same ladder, so one figure covers all three. The bonus steps up as the ship’s officer-stat total grows.

Aphelion refits

Refits unlock with shards and sharpen the Aphelion for a specific job. Three of them push one raw material each, and the fourth turns on Instant Warp so the ship can jump straight to a node.

Nachrüstung What it does
Solas Refit Increases base gas mining rate by 2,000%. Costs 120 shards to unlock.
Seod Refit Increases base crystal mining rate by 2,000%. Costs 120 shards to unlock.
Carraig Refit Increases base ore mining rate by 2,000%. Costs 120 shards to unlock.
Instant Warp Enables Instant Warp for the Aphelion. Costs 120 shards to unlock.

If you are deciding where to spend shards first, match the refit to the resource you mine most, since each one only helps its own material. Instant Warp is a quality-of-life pick that saves travel time once the mining refits are in.

Crew for the Aphelion

The Aphelion is a miner, so the bridge should serve mining, not combat. Officers that raise mining speed, add protected cargo, or shorten mining time fit the role, and the ship’s own cargo protection pairs well with anything that guards your haul from raiders. Because the best mining officers shift with the meta and with which node you are farming, check our Officer Tier List for current picks rather than locking one crew in. Crews change as new officers arrive.

The Aphelion in Star Trek

The Aphelion is a Star Trek Fleet Befehl original rather than a ship from the shows or films, so it has no screen canon to draw on. Its name points to the astronomy term for the point in an orbit farthest from a star, which suits a hull the game frames as a deep-space prospector. In the game’s own telling, it is one of the stronger Independent miners available, with proprietary shielding that steadies it against the dimensional interference found in regions like the Margins and the Veil, letting it work ground that troubles lighter survey ships.

Is the Aphelion worth it?

For a Grade 7 survey ship, the Aphelion is a strong pick if mining is a real part of your game. The all-in-one mining bonus and the deep protected cargo make it a dependable late-game workhorse, and the shielding lets it keep working in hostile space rather than sit in dock. It asks for a level 71 Shipyard and a heavy build, so it suits established players. Casual miners who rarely leave safe systems will feel the cost more than the benefit.
