Curiosity is a late-game story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you follow the Progenitors as they explore the galaxy. It can be picked up at warp 1 and needs warp 110 to finish, taking you from Neboo into Klingon and then Romulan space. There are no fights or donations along the way. The reward is 10,890,000 Tritanium, and finishing it unlocks The Blood Shall Flow. It is a straightforward travel mission with a large payout for anyone who has the range.
Curiosity objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Follow the aliens. Location: Neboo.
- Follow the aliens to Klingon space. Location: Maht-H’A.
- Follow the aliens to Romulan space. Location: Naalur.
- Return to Station.
The mission is a chase across three systems. You pick up the aliens’ trail in Neboo, follow them into Klingon space at Maht-H’A, then on into Romulan space at Naalur. After that, head home to collect the reward. No hostile is listed at any step.
Where and what warp
Curiosity has no named pickup system and can be picked up at warp 1. Completing it takes warp 110, which covers Neboo, Maht-H’A and Naalur.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. That is not a real guide. Warp 110 puts this in late-game space, and range is the only thing that decides whether you can finish.
Curiosity rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Tritanium | 10,890,000 |
Completing Curiosity unlocks the next mission, The Blood Shall Flow.
There is no faction reputation in the reward, so the mission costs you nothing with any faction despite taking you through Klingon and Romulan space.
Where it sits in the Progenitor story
| Mission | Warp to complete | What you do | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ignorance is Bliss | 105 | Find an object in New Vulcan space, collect a Deep Space Datapad, donate a G4 Datapad, bring the object to the aliens | 32 each 4★ Rare Refined Crystal, Gas, Ore |
| Curiosity | 110 | Follow the aliens through Neboo, Maht-H’A and Naalur | 10,890,000 Tritanium |
| The Blood Shall Flow | 120 | Meet the Klingons in Rixos, then choose how to respond | 700 4★ Common Interceptor Parts and 7 3 Hour Repair Speed Ups, or 380 Klingon Recruit Tokens |
The warp requirement rises with each step. The Blood Shall Flow also brings back combat: one path has you defeat a Klingon D3 at about 2.7 million strength and a Klingon Captain at about 912,000, while the other has you defeat a fanatic at about 1.08 million.
Later in the Progenitor story, Containment sends you back to Naalur to lure the Progenitors there.
Tips
Use any ship with warp 110 range. With no fights, a survey or spare ship can do the whole mission while your combat ship prepares for The Blood Shall Flow.
Follow the systems in order. Neboo, Maht-H’A and Naalur are separate objectives in sequence, so plot the route that way.
Put the Tritanium toward late-game building upgrades. At almost 11 million, it is a solid contribution. More late-game missions are on the mission guide.
