The Controlled Galor-Class Elite is a high-level hostile that patrols elite Solo Outpost systems from level 53 to 81. It spawns as three hull types, Battleship, Explorer, and Interceptor, so the ship you bring depends on which variant you engage. It drops Elite Solo Outpost Credits, Outpost Retaliation Medals, Retaliation Plunder, and Uncommon and Rare Solo Outpost Components. Beat it by bringing the hull that counters the variant you attack and a captain who lifts weapon damage against hostiles.

How to beat the Controlled Galor-Class Elite

Because this hostile appears as three different hulls, match your ship to the variant in front of you. The combat triangle is simple: Interceptors beat Battleships, Battleships beat Explorers, and Explorers beat Interceptors. Survey ships barely fight, so leave them at home. Against the Battleship variant bring an Interceptor, against the Explorer variant bring a Battleship, and against the Interceptor variant bring an Explorer. Check the system before you commit so you are not caught in the wrong matchup.

For crew, put a captain in the chair who boosts weapon damage against hostiles, then fill the seats with officers that add damage or mitigation. This hostile sits at levels well past the early game, so a cadet starter crew will not hold up here; use the current top picks instead. Plan around its always-active abilities. Psionic Assault targets one of your ships at the start of combat and inflicts Hyperthermic Decay, draining that ship’s hull by a percentage of its maximum every round for the rest of the fight; that percentage scales with level, from 2% in the low 50s up to 20% at levels 80 and 81. Its Transogen Infusion effect makes its own weapons hit harder, and Diverted Power keeps its critical hit damage from falling below 150%. The longer the fight drags, the more hull the decay strips, so favor a fast kill and hull tanking over a slow, shield-based grind. Because the decay works off a percentage of your maximum hull, a bigger, better-repaired ship buys you more rounds before it becomes a problem, and keeping your own repair costs in mind matters more here than against a plain grind target.

It clusters in elite systems that get deeper and higher-warp as the level climbs. Every system listed below is an elite zone. The low-50s spawns sit at warp 255 to 355, and the top-level 80 and 81 spawns are all the way out at warp 3000, so upgrade your warp range before chasing the higher levels.

Rewards and what it drops

Kills feed the Solo Outpost and Outpost Retaliation reward tracks. The drops are event currency and components rather than raw materials, so grind this hostile when you are working those tracks. It gives no ship XP at any level, so there is no reason to farm it for leveling. The Elite Solo Outpost Credits are the main draw, since they carry the biggest per-kill payout and feed the store where the rest of the reward chain is spent.

The Galor-class in Star Trek

The Galor-class was the mainline warship of the Cardassian Union, first seen in Star Trek: The Next Generation and a fixture through Deep Space Nine. Its amber, curved-wing hull and forward-swept design made it one of the more recognizable ships of the era. Commanded by Gul-ranked officers, Galor-class cruisers formed the backbone of the Cardassian fleet during border conflicts with the Federation and later fought in large numbers under Dominion command during the Dominion War. In the game, this “Controlled” version turns that familiar Cardassian cruiser into an elite target running its own combat abilities.
