Automated Shipyard

The Automated Shipyard is a Texas-class solo armada target in Star Trek Fleet Command, sitting at levels 40 to 60 across systems that range from warp 60 to warp 500. It is a stationary armada-style target rather than a roaming hull, so you attack it with one strong ship or a formed armada instead of counter-picking a class. It drops Shipyard Credits, and its power climbs steeply with level.

How to beat the Automated Shipyard

The Automated Shipyard only appears as a station and armada target, so there is no Interceptor, Battleship, or Explorer variant to counter and nothing to swap between levels. You take it down with one strong ship or a formed solo armada, matched to the level you can actually break. Its hull and shield pools run into the billions at the top end, so bring your best-geared ship rather than a class pick.

It carries one always-active ability, Construct Additional Pilots: at the start of combat it raises its own Isolytic Damage, by 30% at level 40 and scaling up to 90% at level 60. The higher the shipyard, the harder it hits from the opening round, so lean on a durable hull and solid Isolytic Defense and plan to win quickly rather than wear it down over many rounds.

For crew, the general rule holds: a captain that boosts weapon damage against hostiles, backed by officers that add damage or mitigation. These are mid to high level targets, so the cadet starter crew no longer applies. Check the current picks on the Officer Tier List. Crews shift with the meta, so treat any named lineup as a starting point, not a fixed answer.

Where to find the Automated Shipyard

The Automated Shipyard is spread across many systems, one level per system, from warp 60 at the low end to warp 500 at the top. Lower levels sit in nearer systems, while the level 55 to 60 shipyards sit in the deepest, highest-warp systems. Match your warp range to the level you want before you set out.

Level Warp Systems
40 60 Maelruan, Nonsuch, Tunicci
44 110 Abriluni, Brawowe, Hornebolte
48 160 Quiparas, Stetson
51 205 Elt-97, Mazai
55 320 Biscotti, Corvinus
58 440 Regiocomo
60 500 Medici

Rewards and what it drops

Every Automated Shipyard drops Shipyard Credits, the currency tied to the Texas-class arc. The amount scales hard with level, from about a thousand credits at the low end to over a million on a top-level kill, and ship XP rises with level as well.

Drop What it is
Shipyard Credit An event store currency from the Texas-class solo armada, spent on that arc’s rewards. Payout per kill scales from about 1,000 up to roughly 1,012,500 depending on the shipyard’s level.

Automated Shipyard stats

Stats vary by level and climb steeply, so a shipyard a few levels higher is far tougher than its neighbor.

Level Total strength Hull HP Shield HP Attack Defense Ship XP
40 148,233,179 201,026,273 50,256,568 7,361,433 15,230,325 1,502
51 996,193,824 1,437,160,819 359,000,000 46,711,039 51,402,375 3,300
60 5,501,711,532 8,345,823,864 2,090,000,000 110,316,560 173,483,040 11,904

Automated Shipyard firing pattern

The shipyard fires three weapons each round: one Energy shot and two Kinetic shots. The heavy Kinetic weapon has a four-round warm-up, so its biggest hits land later in the fight, while the lighter Energy and Kinetic shots start on round one. Time your repairs and mitigation for that delayed Kinetic spike. These figures come from the lowest-level record, and higher levels scale up.

Weapon type Count Damage per shot Fires Crit
Energy 1 384,585–451,469 Every round 10% (1.5x)
Kinetic 1 865,316–1,015,806 Every round 10% (1.5x)
Kinetic 1 384,585–451,469 Every round 10% (1.5x)

The Texas-class in Star Trek

The Texas-class comes from Star Trek: Lower Decks. It is a line of fully automated Starfleet warships, crewless ships run by an onboard AI and championed by Admiral Buenamigo as the future of the fleet. The prototype USS Texas and its successor, the Aledo, were built without a single officer aboard. The design turned dangerous when the AI slipped its leash and attacked Federation ships, and the crew of the Cerritos had to stop it. In Star Trek Fleet Command, the Texas-class arc leans on that idea of self-building, self-crewing machines, which is where the Automated Shipyard and its Construct Additional Pilots ability fit.

Is the Automated Shipyard worth grinding?

Grind it when you want Shipyard Credits and you have a ship strong enough to clear the level cleanly. The payout and ship XP both jump with level, so push to the highest shipyard you can beat without a long, costly fight. Match your warp to the system, bring one well-geared ship or a formed armada, and expect its Isolytic Damage to spike at the start. For more armada-style targets, see the Solo Armada hub.
