Warrior for Hire

Warrior for Hire is a short Star Trek Fleet Command story mission: stop Qu’ag from hunting the Independents of Riquzei. It opens at warp 1 and needs warp 20 to complete, and both objectives are in Morska. The game lists a recommended level of 1. You find the Klingon warrior and destroy Qa’ug’s Battleship at roughly 53,959 strength. The reward is 500,000 Parsteel and a Relocation Token, and finishing it unlocks Factory Line. One fight for half a million Parsteel is a good trade.

Warrior for Hire objectives

There are two objectives and no choice split:

  • Find the Klingon Warrior in Morska. Location: Morska.
  • Destroy Qa’ug’s Battleship. Location: Morska. Enemy strength is roughly 53,959.

Both steps happen in the Morska system. You find the Klingon warrior there, and destroying the warrior’s Battleship ends the mission, with no return-to-station step. The story line spells the warrior’s name Qu’ag, while the objective spells it Qa’ug.

Where and what warp

Warrior for Hire becomes available at warp 1 and no pickup system is named. Completing it needs warp 20 to reach Morska.

The recommended level is 1. The Battleship at around 53,959 strength is the only fight and the only check on your ship’s strength.

Warrior for Hire rewards

Completing the mission also unlocks Factory Line.

Warrior for Hire and its neighbours

Warrior for Hire follows Fight Back, where you reach the resistance fighters on Riquzei, and before that Command Nest. Current game data:

Mission Warp to complete Main task Rewards
Command Nest 22 Meet a Yridian informant in Afritalis, then choose how to deal with a Romulan Infiltrator 100,000 to 250,000 Parsteel plus Officer XP, a Relocation Token or refined ore, depending on your choice
Fight Back 18 Reach Riquzei in Yadow and destroy 10 hostile ships there 500,000 Parsteel
Warrior for Hire 20 Destroy Qa’ug’s Battleship in Morska, about 53,959 500,000 Parsteel, 1 Relocation Token
Factory Line 27 Find gas mining zones in Thama, mine 500 Raw G3 Gas 50,000 Parsteel

Fight Back and Warrior for Hire pay the same 500,000 Parsteel, but Warrior for Hire swaps ten hostile kills for one named fight and adds a Relocation Token. Factory Line then turns to mining, and after it comes Overhaul, which asks you to upgrade a Grade 3 ship to Tier 2.

Tips

Go straight for the Battleship. It is the only fight, so a combat ship at full health is all you need once you arrive in Morska.

Hold on to the Relocation Token until you actually need it. Command Nest can pay one too, on the path where you speak with T’Yeka.

Get a mining ship ready for Factory Line. The next mission asks for 500 Raw G3 Gas, so it helps to know where the gas mining zones in Thama are before you finish here. More missions by level are on the mission guide.
