Upgrade Parsteel Generator B to Level 3 is a station mission with one job: raise that generator to level 3. Recommended level is 1, warp is 1 to pick it up and 1 to finish, and the payout is 25 Tritanium. It also opens the next part of the chain. You never undock for this one.
Upgrade Parsteel Generator B to Level 3 objectives
A single objective, no branches.
- Upgrade Parsteel Generator B to Level 3.
The mission tracks your station build queue rather than anything happening in space. Start the upgrade on Parsteel Generator B, wait out the build timer, and the objective ticks over on its own the moment the level lands. There is nothing to escort, no hostile to clear, and nothing to hand in afterward.
Note the letter. Your station has several parsteel generators and this mission watches B specifically, so upgrading A or C will not move the counter. If the objective looks stuck, check which generator you actually queued.
Where and what warp
Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete. Both numbers mean the same thing here: the whole mission happens inside your own system. Ship condition, warp range, and travel time have no bearing on it.
Recommended level is 1, which places this at the very front of station progression, alongside the other early generator and Operations upgrades. On any established account it cleared itself years ago as a side effect of normal building.
Upgrade Parsteel Generator B to Level 3 rewards
25 Tritanium. Completing it also unlocks the next part of the chain.
That is a token amount, and it should be read as a nudge toward a build you were going to do anyway rather than as payment for doing it. The real return is the generator level itself. Parsteel is the alloy your station runs on, and every building upgrade you queue from here draws on it, so more passive production compounds quietly in the background while you are off doing other things.
The Tritanium is still worth collecting at this stage, since early ship components and a few station upgrades want it and your own tritanium mine is slow at low levels.
Tips
Queue the upgrade before you log off. It runs on a build timer and the mission completes when the timer does, so kicking it off at the end of a session means the reward is waiting at your next login instead of costing you idle minutes.
Bring the generators up together rather than one at a time. Missions exist for the other generators too, and since they all feed the same resource, raising them as a group is the fastest way to lift your parsteel income and clear several station missions in the same stretch.
Watch your Operations level. Station buildings cannot be raised past what Operations allows, so if Generator B refuses the upgrade, that ceiling is usually the reason rather than a missing resource.
Do not stockpile parsteel waiting for a better use. At this point in an account, parsteel that sits in your warehouse is doing nothing, and the generator upgrades that increase your income are the highest-value thing you can spend it on.
If you are returning to an old account and this mission is still open in your log, check the generator level before assuming the mission is bugged. A partial upgrade that was queued and cancelled leaves the building below level 3, and the objective simply has not been met yet.
