Upgrade Operations to Level 31 is a station mission in Star Trek Fleet Command with one objective: finish the Operations upgrade to level 31. It needs warp 1 to start and complete, the game lists a recommended level of 1, and there is nothing to fight. The payout is 3,000,000 Tritanium and two 1 Hour Repair Speed Ups, and completing it unlocks Upgrade Drydock D to Level 31. The Tritanium alone covers more than three times the Tritanium cost of the upgrade.
Upgrade Operations to Level 31 objectives
The story line is the standard Operations one: the building houses the command center and the Station’s main computer. There is a single objective and no choice split:
- Upgrade Operations to Level 31.
No system, hostile or donation is involved. The mission completes when Operations reaches level 31.
Where and what warp
Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no pickup system. The whole mission happens on your station.
The listed recommended level of 1 means little here. The real gate is the set of buildings Operations 31 requires, which the next section lists.
Upgrade Operations to Level 31 rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Tritanium | 3,000,000 |
| 1 Hour Repair Speed Up | 2 |
Completing the mission also unlocks the next station mission, Upgrade Drydock D to Level 31.
What Operations 31 costs
Current building data lists the level 31 upgrade as follows:
| Cost | Amount |
|---|---|
| Parsteel | 50,306,400 |
| Tritanium | 924,750 |
| Dilithium | 308,250 |
| 3★ Common Refined Ore | 1,900 |
| 3★ Rare Refined Ore | 50 |
The unboosted build time is 16 days, 3 hours and 48 minutes. The requirements are Shipyard level 30, Defense Platform A level 30 and Defense Platform B level 30. The 3★ Rare Refined Ore line is the one to check early, since it is the only rare-grade material in the bill.
Operations also raises the Weapon Damage Bonus for all your ships with each level. The building data lists 30% at level 30 and 35% at level 35.
How Level 31 compares with nearby Operations missions
| Mission | Tritanium | Repair speed ups |
|---|---|---|
| Upgrade Operations to Level 29 | 1,750,000 | 3 × 15 Minute |
| Upgrade Operations to Level 30 | 2,500,000 | 1 × 1 Hour |
| Upgrade Operations to Level 31 | 3,000,000 | 2 × 1 Hour |
| Upgrade Operations to Level 32 | 4,000,000 | 2 × 1 Hour |
| Upgrade Operations to Level 33 | 5,000,000 | 2 × 1 Hour |
| Upgrade Operations to Level 34 | 6,000,000 | 2 × 1 Hour |
Level 30 switched the repair speed ups to 1 Hour ones, and level 31 doubles them to two. From here the speed ups hold steady while the Tritanium rises by roughly a million per level.
Tips
Plan the three level 30 requirements together. Shipyard and both Defense Platforms have to be at 30 before Operations 31 can start, so a long build on any one of them delays the mission.
Put the 3,000,000 Tritanium straight into the next upgrade. With Operations 31 costing under a million Tritanium, the reward leaves a healthy surplus for Drydock D and the level 32 push.
Level 30 is also where Drydock G and Dilithium Generator D become available in the building data, so players arriving here often have several new buildings competing for the same resources. The full station build order is easier to follow from the mission guide.
