Titans of Industry

Titans of Industry is a mining mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you help a fledgling mining corporation by gathering data on common resource deposits. It can be picked up in any of seven systems, needs warp 19 to start and to finish, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. The work is three mining targets: 2,000 Tritanium, 2,000 Parsteel and 800 Dilithium. The reward is 147,000 Parsteel, a good return for a mission with no combat at all.

Titans of Industry objectives

There are three objectives and no choice split:

  • Mine 2,000 Tritanium.
  • Mine 2,000 Parsteel.
  • Mine 800 Dilithium.

No system is named for any of the mining, so you can use whichever nodes are convenient. There are no hostiles to fight and nothing to donate.

Where and what warp

The mission can be picked up in Wauoxic, Loaiy, Metea, Bazamex, Nipaj, Loiat or Vosak. Warp 19 is needed both to start and to complete it.

The game lists a recommended level of 1. What you actually need is a ship with warp 19 range to reach a pickup system, and a mining ship for the three resource targets.

How it compares with other missions from the same systems

The same group of pickup systems offers several other warp 19 missions. Current game data for them:

Mission Main task Fight Rewards
Titans of Industry Mine three resources None 147,000 Parsteel
Miscommunications Find Uhura’s friend in Orion Orion Slaver (~44,329) 98,000 Parsteel
Footprints Track a signal through Deneva and Rigel ~39,874 376,000 Parsteel
Power Vacuum Defeat 12 hostiles of level 23 or higher Hostiles only 61,000 Tritanium
Red Jack Take Oleanna to Rigel IV and hunt 13 hostiles ~53,959 and ~54,559 12,000 Dilithium, or 300 Premium Recruit Token and 34,000 Officer XP

Titans of Industry is the only one of these with no fighting. It pays more Parsteel than Miscommunications, though less than Footprints, which needs a fight and travel across several systems.

Miscommunications and Footprints share exactly the same seven pickup systems as Titans of Industry. Red Jack and Power Vacuum draw on a slightly wider list that also includes Mapic and Woxoxit, so all five can be picked up from the same handful of systems.

Tips

Send a mining ship with enough cargo. You need to gather 4,800 resources in total across three types, so a survey ship with a large hold finishes faster.

Plan the Dilithium leg separately if Dilithium nodes are far from where you mine the other two. At 800 it is the smallest of the three targets.

Pair it with a combat mission from the same pickup list, such as Miscommunications or Footprints, so your fighting ship and mining ship are both busy on the same trip. Other missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
