The Core’s Courier

The Core’s Courier is an Aggregation Survey-hull hostile in Star Trek Fleet Command, found at levels 47 to 70. The Aggregation is one of the game’s own factions, so this is a pure in-game target with no Star Trek lore behind it. It only ever spawns as a Survey ship, so it barely shoots back, which makes it an easy grind for its level. It drops Reclaimed Loot in four grades and gives solid ship XP. Bring any warship at level and it goes down fast.

How to beat the Core’s Courier

Ship combat in Star Trek Fleet Command runs on a rock-paper-scissors triangle. Interceptors beat Battleships, Battleships beat Explorers, and Explorers beat Interceptors. Survey ships sit outside that triangle: they haul cargo instead of carrying real weapons, so they barely fight.

The Core’s Courier only ever spawns as a Survey ship, so there is no hull type you need to counter here. It has very little attack for its level and will not punish you the way a combat hostile would. Bring any warship you have at or above the spawn level and you will out-damage it comfortably. An Interceptor is a fine pick for its raw damage output, but an Explorer or a Battleship at level will clear it just as well. The main thing that matters is having enough hull and shields to soak its occasional hit at the higher levels, where even a Survey ship carries a lot of health.

That health is the one catch worth planning around. A level 47 Core’s Courier sits around 16 million hull, which almost any mid-game ship shreds in seconds. The level 70 version carries over 8 billion hull and another 8 billion in shields, so a weak or under-leveled ship will grind on it for a long time even though the target barely shoots back. Pick the strongest ship you can field for the spawn level you are farming, and the fight stays short. Because the risk of losing your ship is so low, you do not need a defensive crew here; lean toward damage so each kill is faster.

For crew, the principle is the same as any hostile grind: a captain that boosts weapon damage against hostiles, with officers underneath that add more damage or mitigation. This is a mid-to-late target, so an early cadet crew will not keep up here. For the current best picks, check the Officer Tier List. Crews shift with the meta, so treat any single recommendation as a starting point rather than a fixed answer.

Where to find the Core’s Courier

The Core’s Courier is spread thin across Aggregation space, with one spawn level per system. The low-level versions sit in closer systems you can reach at warp 150 to 160, while the level 65 and up versions are deep out and need warp 1250 to 1700. Match your warp range to the level you want before you fly, or you will not be able to reach the spawn. The warp jumps grow fast toward the top of the range, so getting to the level 70 spawn in LE-20 takes a lot more warp than the early ones. If your warp is capped short of a system in the table, drop to the highest level you can actually reach and farm that until your range improves.

Level Warp Systems
47 150 Na’No
49 160 Dunt
56 355 Salasi
59 500 Ena-36
65 1250 Too’Ko
66 1300 Howing
69 1600 Iono’Ka
70 1700 LE-20

Rewards and what it drops

The Core’s Courier drops Reclaimed Loot, the Aggregation cache resource, in four grades. Which grades you get depends on the level you hit: the low versions give Common loot only, and the better grades unlock as you climb. Common Reclaimed Loot drops across the whole range, Uncommon starts at level 56, Rare at level 65, and Epic appears only on the level 69 and 70 spawns. If you want the higher grades, you have to farm the higher spawns. Ship XP also rises steeply with level, from about 2,375 per kill at level 47 up to 51,800 at level 70, so the deep-space versions double as a fast way to level a ship you are working on.

Drop What it is
Common Reclaimed Loot The basic Aggregation cache, dropped at every level from 47 up.
Uncommon Reclaimed Loot A better-grade cache that starts dropping at level 56.
Rare Reclaimed Loot A higher-tier cache from the level 65 and up spawns.
Epic Reclaimed Loot The top grade, only from the level 69 and 70 versions.

The Core’s Courier stats

Stats vary by level and climb steeply from the low end to the high end, so the level 70 version is far tougher than the level 47 one even though both are Survey ships. These are anchor points at the low, middle, and high end of the range.

Level Total strength Hull HP Shield HP Attack Defense Ship XP
47 27,991,774 15,889,116 17,478,027 9,301,533 2,006,670 2,375
65 5,992,942,530 5,570,315,205 5,570,315,205 171,395,045 251,232,280 25,700
70 8,923,835,625 8,014,506,147 8,014,506,147 654,426,783 254,902,695 51,800

Is the Core’s Courier worth grinding?

Yes, if you want Reclaimed Loot or easy ship XP. Because it fights back so weakly for a Survey ship, it is a low-risk kill you can farm with a single warship while you spend attention elsewhere. Match your warp to the highest spawn level you can reach, since that is where the Rare and Epic loot and the biggest XP payouts live, and you will bank caches and levels without much fuss.
