The Belly of the Beast is a story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you confront Braak. The game lists a recommended level of 1, it starts at warp 1, and it needs warp 17 to complete. Everything takes place in Khitomer: you find Braak, defeat 10 hostiles of level 24 or higher, go to Racht, and decide whether Braak lives. Killing him pays Tritanium and repair speed ups; sparing him pays refined ore. Both add Romulan standing.
The Belly of the Beast objectives
Everyone starts with the same four steps:
- Go to Khitomer to find Braak. Location: Khitomer.
- Defeat 10 hostiles of Level 24 or higher.
- Go to Racht. Location: Khitomer.
- Kill Braak or let him live.
The last step is a choice split with two paths. Braak is only fought if you choose to kill him. Letting him live skips that fight and sends you straight home, so it is the shorter of the two paths, while the kill path adds one more battle before the return trip.
Romulan path: kill Braak
- Kill Braak. Location: Khitomer. Enemy strength is roughly 74,100.
- Return to your station.
Rewards: 93,000 Tritanium, 22 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups, 130 Romulan Credits, 2,000 Romulan Points and -1,200 Federation Points.
Klingon path: let him live
- Return to your Station.
Rewards: 12 3★ Uncommon Refined Ore, 130 Romulan Credits, 2,000 Romulan Points, -1,200 Federation Points and -800 Klingon Points.
Where and what warp
No pickup system is listed. The mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 17 to complete, and Khitomer is the only named system. Racht is inside Khitomer, so the story steps all happen in one place. The 10 hostiles can be taken anywhere.
The recommended level is 1. The level 24 hostiles are the main requirement, plus a fight at roughly 74,100 strength if you choose to kill Braak.

Tips
Decide based on the refined ore. Sparing Braak costs 800 Klingon Points but pays 12 3★ Uncommon Refined Ore, which is slower to come by than Tritanium. Killing him pays 93,000 Tritanium and 22 repair speed ups, and it avoids the Klingon penalty.
If you plan to kill Braak, bring a combat ship that handles 74,100 strength comfortably after the hostile grind. His fight comes at the end, so repair before engaging.
The 10 hostiles come before the choice on both paths, so every player has to clear them. Any level 24 or higher hostile counts, which lets you pick easy targets rather than the toughest ones in range.
