Texas-class Supply Ship

The Texas-class Supply Ship is a Texas-class hostile that spawns from level 45 to 60. It only appears as a Survey-hull ship, so it sits outside the usual hull counter triangle and any strong combat ship can take it down. You will find it across neutral systems from Abriluni up to Regiocomo, at warps 60 to 355, and it drops Neural Net Chips. If you fly a battleship, its Isolytic Defense drops by 30%, which makes the fight faster.

How to beat the Texas-class Supply Ship

This hostile only ever appears as a Survey hull. Survey ships sit outside the counter triangle that pits Interceptors, Battleships, and Explorers against each other, so there is no class you are forced to bring and nothing to swap between levels. Any well-crewed combat ship will clear it.

It carries one always-active ability, Mutually Assured Destruction. When it enters combat with a player it lowers your peace shield, and if your ship is a battleship its own Isolytic Defense is reduced by 30%. That second clause works in your favor: bringing a battleship weakens the hostile, so a well-crewed battleship is a strong pick here even though the Survey hull means class matchups otherwise do not matter.

Its guns split across two damage types, one energy weapon and two kinetic weapons, so you take both kinds of fire in every round. A defense build tilted entirely toward one damage type leaves a gap the other weapon exploits, so balanced mitigation, or simply out-tanking the ship with hull, holds up better here than min-maxing against a single type.

For crew, lead with a captain that boosts weapon damage against hostiles and fill the seats with officers that add damage or mitigation. At levels 45 to 60 you are past the early cadet crews, so check the current picks on the Officer Tier List and build around whatever is strong this season. Crews shift with the meta, so treat any fixed recommendation as a starting point.

Where to find the Texas-class Supply Ship

The Texas-class Supply Ship clusters by level. The level 45 spawns sit at warp 60 in the closer systems, and the level climbs as you push deeper, reaching warp 355 for the level 60 version. Match your warp range to the level you want before you set out.

Level Warp Systems
45 60 Abriluni, Maelruan, Nonsuch, Tunicci
50 120 Brawowe, Hornebolte, Quiparas, Stetson
55 205 Biscotti, Elt-97, Mazai
60 355 Corvinus, Medici, Regiocomo

Rewards and what it drops

Every kill drops Neural Net Chips. These are a mid to late game material, so this hostile earns its place once you are building or upgrading ships and research that call for the chips, rather than as an early farm. The ship XP payout climbs steeply with level, from 2,125 at level 45 to 11,904 at level 60, so higher spawns are the better use of your time once your ship can handle them.

Texas-class Supply Ship stats

Stats vary by hull variant and climb steeply with level. These anchor rows show the low, mid, and high ends of the range. Total strength runs from about 165 million at level 45 to more than 3.3 billion at level 60, a roughly twentyfold jump across fifteen levels, and defense climbs even faster. If your ship is near the edge of what it can clear, scout a spawn before you commit rather than jumping straight to the level 60 version.

Level Total strength Hull HP Shield HP Attack Defense Ship XP
45 165,395,143 186,947,764 46,736,941 14,465,441 34,087,350 2,125

60 3,366,260,343 2,912,060,016 728,015,004 235,790,383 1,310,432,450 11,904

Texas-class Supply Ship firing pattern

The Texas-class Supply Ship fires three guns each round: one energy weapon and two kinetic weapons. The energy gun and the heavier kinetic gun are online from the first round, while the lighter kinetic gun warms up over four rounds before it joins in. Time your repairs and mitigation around the opening rounds, when the energy and heavy kinetic shots land together.

Weapon type Count Damage per shot Fires Crit
Energy 1 1,028,850–1,207,780 Every round 10% (1.5x)
Kinetic 1 1,543,274–1,811,670 Every round 10% (1.5x)
Kinetic 1 514,425–603,890 Every round 10% (1.5x)

The Texas-class in Star Trek

The Texas-class is a line of automated, crewless starships introduced in Star Trek: Lower Decks. Starfleet designed the class to run without a crew, piloted entirely by an onboard artificial intelligence, so that no lives would be at risk on dangerous assignments. The experiment went wrong. The lead ship, following its own programming, turned aggressive and had to be shut down before it could do more damage. In Star Trek Fleet Command the Texas-class name is attached to these self-driving hostiles, which keeps the “no crew aboard” idea from the show intact.

Is the Texas-class Supply Ship worth grinding?

The Texas-class Supply Ship is worth grinding if you need Neural Net Chips or steady ship XP. The Survey hull barely fights back, so kills are quick and cheap on repairs compared with a matched combat hostile of the same power. Match your warp to the level you can clear, and bring a battleship to knock 30% off its Isolytic Defense for an even faster fight.
