Tainted Tritanium is a level 14 mining mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you mine Tritanium to test for sabotage. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 11 to complete, and the two objectives are to reach Elona before the Enterprise and mine 400 Tritanium. There is no fight. The reward is 15,000 Parsteel and 12 2★ Battleship Parts, and finishing it unlocks the next mission, Deneva. It is a quick mining run with a useful batch of battleship parts.
Tainted Tritanium objectives
The story line reads: mine some Tritanium to test for mineral sabotage. There are two objectives and no choice split:
- Get to the mining system before the Enterprise. Location: Elona.
- Mine 400 Tritanium.
You fly to Elona and mine 400 Tritanium. No hostile is listed and nothing is donated, so the only work is the trip and the mining.
Where and what warp
The mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 11 to complete. Elona, a level 13 neutral system, is the only location named.
The recommended level is 14. A ship that can mine Tritanium and reach Elona is all you need.

Tainted Tritanium and Deneva together pay 32 2★ Battleship Parts and share a warp 11 finish, so they fit well as a pair if you are working on a battleship.
Tips
Use a survey ship for the mining if you have one. Mining 400 Tritanium goes faster with a ship built for it, and there is no combat step that needs a warship.
The first objective mentions beating the Enterprise to Elona, but no timer or race is listed as a condition. Fly there and start mining.
The story frames the mining as a test. The Tritanium in the area is suspected of sabotage, and your sample is meant to find out whether the ore has been tampered with. Deneva, the next mission, is a single trip to the Deneva system at the same warp 11.
