Power Chord is a two-part Star Trek Fleet Command mission chain in which you investigate a spatial anomaly that broke out during a metal gig at the Olympus in Vanarsei. You deal with the fallout at the venue, work out what the band’s Pick of Doom is doing, and install a limiter to keep it in check. Both parts are recommended for level 79 and need warp 5,500 to complete, and every system objective is in Vanarsei. The chain pays 7,670,000 7★ Raw Ore, 2,710,000 Σ-Parsteel and 687,000 7★ broken ship parts. It is a short, low-combat chain with one large Σ-Parsteel donation.

Power Chord Part 1
A metal gig at the Olympus ended in a spatial anomaly. You arrive at the venue in Vanarsei, fend off an attack, track down the Olympus manager and pay a Σ-Parsteel donation before you get to talk to the band.
- Proceed to the venue (Vanarsei).
- Defend yourself (Vanarsei, enemy strength ~392,072,264,828,178).
- Find the manager of Olympus (Vanarsei).
- Donate 1.2M Σ-Parsteel.
- Speak with the band (Vanarsei).

Power Chord Part 2
The investigation moves to the band’s rehearsal space. You take readings while they play, study the Pick of Doom, make a trip back to your station and then return to the Olympus to install a limiter. This part has no fights.

- Return to your station.
- Return to the Olympus (Vanarsei).

Tips for completing Power Chord
Combat is light. There is a single fight, in Part 1, at about 392 trillion strength, and every system objective in both parts is in Vanarsei. The one detour is the return to your station in Part 2, which means a second trip out to Vanarsei at warp 5,500.
The 1.2M Σ-Parsteel donation in Part 1 is the main cost. Part 1 pays back 2,021,000 Σ-Parsteel and Part 2 adds 689,000 more, so you finish the chain ahead, but you need the 1.2M on hand to get past the Olympus manager. The Σ resources guide covers where Σ-Parsteel comes from.
