Pandemic is a short Star Trek Fleet Command story mission in which you help Dr. McCoy deal with a pandemic on Minos Silma. It is picked up in Cita Laga, needs warp 11 to start and warp 18 to finish, and consists of three travel steps between Cita Laga and Starbase 74 in Gemet. There is no combat and no donation. The reward is 2,000 Tritanium and 600 Dilithium, and completing it unlocks Quarantine.

Pandemic objectives

The story line is “Help Dr. McCoy with a pandemic on Minos Silma.” There are three objectives and no choice split:

  • Visit Minos Thano to investigate the planet’s radio silence. Location: Cita Laga.
  • Fly to Starbase 74. Location: Gemet.
  • Contact the medical researchers on Minos Thano. Location: Cita Laga.

The mission is an out-and-back. You start at Minos Thano in Cita Laga, where the planet has gone silent, fly to Starbase 74 in Gemet, and then return to Minos Thano to reach the medical researchers. All three steps are travel, so the only thing standing between you and the reward is the distance.

Two planet names appear in the text, which can be confusing. The story line names Minos Silma as the site of the pandemic, but both planet objectives point you to Minos Thano in Cita Laga. Follow the objective markers rather than looking for Minos Silma on the map; the mission never sends you there directly.

Where and what warp

Pandemic is accepted in Cita Laga, which takes warp 11 to reach. Completing it needs warp 18, because the middle step sends you to Gemet. Cita Laga is visited twice, at the start and the end, so the trip to Gemet is the one leg that sets the warp requirement.

The mission data lists a recommended level of 1. With no fights, the warp requirement is the real gate.

Pandemic rewards

Reward Amount
Tritanium 2,000
Dilithium 600

Completing Pandemic also unlocks Quarantine.

The rewards are small, in line with the mission’s early warp range. The larger value is progression: Pandemic opens Quarantine, the next mission in this storyline, and it costs nothing but travel to get there.

Tips

Check your warp before you accept. The pickup in Cita Laga needs warp 11, but the mission cannot be finished until your ship can reach Gemet at warp 18.

Send a ship you are not using for combat or mining. Nothing in Pandemic calls for weapons or cargo, so any ship with the range will do, and your main ships can stay on other work.

Plan the route as one loop: Cita Laga, then Gemet, then back to Cita Laga. The mission never asks you to return to your station, so it ends out at Minos Thano.

If you came here looking for Leonard McCoy himself, his officer page covers him as a crew member. Other missions around this warp range are listed on the mission guide.
