Late for A Stardate

Late for A Stardate is a level 60 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you get an old friend, Bordan, to date night on time. It is picked up in Daz and needs warp 700 to start and to complete, with the second half in the Shaz system. Two fights stand in the way, a debt collector and a jealous rival, and the reward is twelve 1B Tritanium Tokens, 1,500 Trait XP and 2,000 Irvinite. It is a light-hearted story with a heavy Tritanium payout.

Late for A Stardate objectives

Bordan calls for help from the planet Kaldaz, saying it is a matter of life and death. Once he is aboard, it turns out the emergency is his relationship. His ship broke down while he was on some shady business in Daz, and his partner will not accept any excuse for missing date night. He also forgot to mention that he owes money to someone in the system.

  • Pick up Bordan from Kaldaz. Location: Daz.
  • Defeat the Debt Collector. Location: Daz. Enemy strength is roughly 1,898,556,138.
  • Head for the Shaz system. Location: Shaz.
  • Set a course for Bill. Location: Shaz.
  • Defeat a jealous suitor. Location: Shaz. Enemy strength is roughly 1,898,556,138.
  • Join Treis at Muigi’s. Location: Shaz.

After the debt collector is dealt with, you fly Bordan to Shaz with an hour to spare. His table is booked at Muigi’s on the planet Bill. In orbit a ship pulls alongside: Gaavin, a rival for the affections of Bordan’s partner Treis, who decides to settle things with his weapons. With Gaavin gone, Bordan makes it to dinner on time, and Treis is suitably surprised.

There is no choice split. Every player runs the same six objectives.

Where and what warp

The pickup system is Daz, and the mission needs warp 700 to start and warp 700 to complete. The first two objectives are in Daz, and the last four are in Shaz, so there is one move between systems in the middle. The recommended level is 60.

Tips

The two fights share the same listed strength, about 1.90 billion. The debt collector comes first, so it is a fair test of whether your ship is ready for Gaavin. If the first fight is close, repair before you set off for Shaz.

Twelve 1B Tritanium Tokens come to 12 billion Tritanium. That is the largest part of the reward and the main reason to run the mission. There is no donation step, so the only cost is the time and repairs for two fights.

The Daz and Shaz systems appear in several level 60 missions at the same warp 700 range. The Body in the Brig also starts in Daz, and The Mediators starts in Shaz. If you are already working in the area, you can line these up and save on travel between them.
