Genetic Sequencing is a Romulan-side mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you hunt a genetically engineered Suliban before he can attack the Romulan Senate. You investigate the reported Elite attack in Devrom, track the Elite to Altanea, fight him there and warn Kelia when he escapes. The mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 40 to complete. The reward is 16,660,000 Parsteel, 500 Romulan Recruit Tokens and 100,000 Romulan Points, with a Federation reputation loss.
Genetic Sequencing objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split:
- Investigate the scene of the reported Elite attack. Location: Devrom.
- Track the Elite to Altanea. Location: Altanea.
- Destroy the Suliban Elite. Location: Altanea (enemy strength about 1,157,968).
- Warn Kelia of the Elite’s escape. Location: Galorndon Core.
The mission runs Devrom, Altanea, Galorndon Core. The one fight is the Suliban Elite in Altanea, listed at roughly 1.16 million strength. Even after you beat it, the Elite escapes, and the last objective sends you to Galorndon Core to warn Kelia.
Where and what warp
Genetic Sequencing has no pickup system and starts at warp 1. Warp 40 is needed to complete it.
The game lists a recommended level of 1. What really decides whether you can finish is warp 40 and a fight above 1.1 million strength.

Genetic Sequencing and neighbouring missions
Before this mission comes The Cell Ship, where you recover data from a crashed Suliban Cell Ship before it falls into Federation hands. After it comes Manhunt, where you take revenge on the Elite for destroying a mining operation on Remus.

Tips
Bring a combat ship with warp 40 for the Suliban Elite. It is the only fight, at over 1.1 million strength.
Finish the Galorndon Core step. The mission does not end with the fight, and the warning to Kelia is what completes it.
