Fly By Night is a 10-part mission chain in Star Trek Fleet Command that drops you into a Ferengi black market job. It opens at recommended level 34 when you hear a Ferengi’s request, then sends you after sellers, moles, and a Black Market ship across Outlaw space. The full run pays out Latinum, 3★ ship parts, resource tokens, and shards for two officers, Arrock and Fess. Finishing each part unlocks the next, so plan for a mid-level crew that can handle warp 20 to 30 hops.

Tips for completing Fly By Night

Most parts sit at warp 25. Part 2 stretches out to warp 30 and Part 3 comes back in to warp 20, so keep a fast ship and enough fuel for the long jumps. The whole chain expects a crew around level 34.

Combat shows up in clusters. Parts 2, 5, 7, and 10 each ask you to clear a batch of Level 31 or 32 hostiles, and several parts add a single-ship fight in the 647,000 to 673,000 power range. A crew that can farm level 32 spawns comfortably will move through these without stalling.

Part 6 is the one to prepare for. It asks you to donate 4 Million Tritanium, so stockpile that before you start the mission rather than mining it on the clock. The Sintek system also comes up again and again, which makes it a handy staging point for the middle of the chain.

Are the Fly By Night rewards worth it?

The chain is good value for a mid-level roster. Across ten parts you collect shards for two officers, Arrock and Fess, along with 1,000 Ultra Recruit Tokens, stacks of 3★ Explorer, Battleship, and Interceptor parts, plus Latinum, Dilithium, Tritanium, and Parsteel tokens. The 4 Million Tritanium donation in Part 6 is the main cost. For a player around level 34 building out officers and ships, it earns its warp fuel.
