Five Falsehoods is a level 8 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. The Malurians have been having trouble with a group of local pirates, and you clear five hostiles in the Maluria system before heading home. The mission is picked up in Maluria and needs warp 5 to start and finish. The reward is 20 Recruit Tokens, an Encryption Key and 120 Officer XP. It is a quick hostile job that fits between other early missions.
Five Falsehoods objectives
There are two objectives and no choice split:
- Defeat 5 Hostiles in Maluria. Location: Maluria.
- Return to Station.
The kill objective is tied to Maluria, so the five hostiles have to be defeated in that system. No named boss is listed. Once the fifth kill is done, the mission sends you back to your station to complete.
Where and what warp
Five Falsehoods is offered in Maluria itself. Warp 5 is enough both to start and to complete, and there is no second system to visit. Because the pickup and the kill objective share the same system, you can accept the mission and start fighting without moving your ship.
The recommended level is 8. Maluria is a level 7 system, one below the mission’s recommended level, so its hostiles should not stretch a level 8 commander.
Five Falsehoods rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Recruit Token | 20 |
| Encryption Key | 1 |
| Officer XP | 120 |
The mission does not unlock a follow-up. The 120 Officer XP is small, but the 20 Recruit Tokens and the Encryption Key make it worth the short detour at level 8.
How Five Falsehoods compares with other warp 5 missions
| Mission | Recommended level | Objective | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Five Falsehoods | 8 | Defeat 5 hostiles in Maluria | 20 Recruit Tokens, 1 Encryption Key, 120 Officer XP |
| Hollowed | 7 | Visit Yrenna and pay a 100 Tritanium fine | 5,000 Parsteel, 1 Encryption Key |
| Hide and Seek | 6 | Defeat 5 hostiles and the Dissident Leader in Calex | 1 Grace Chen shard |
Five Falsehoods and Hollowed both hand out an Encryption Key, so running the two together gives you a pair.
Tips
Stay in Maluria for the kills. Hostiles in other systems will not count toward the objective.
Any combat ship around level 8 should be fine. The mission lists no boss, so the five kills are the whole combat load.
Remember the return step. The mission does not complete in Maluria; your ship has to get back to your station. For more early missions, see the STFC mission guide.
