First Contact Day: Epilogue is the closing Borg event mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, recommended for level 15. With the Borg invasion beaten back, Zefram Cochrane calls from his broken timeline with one loose end: the Borg scout that started it all. Your AI works out that the Borg are stuck in a loop sending the same scout, and a signal jammer from Cochrane can close it. The mission needs only warp 1 to start and finish, and it pays 21,000 Officer XP, eight 1 Hour Repair Speed Ups and a Relocation Token.
First Contact Day: Epilogue objectives
There are three objectives and no choice split:
- Triangulate the signal from Zefram Cochrane.
- Defeat the Borg vessel. Enemy strength about 6,600.
- Destroy the fleeing Borg drone. Enemy strength about 6,600.
Cochrane is relieved your side of the rifts held, and asks you again to stop calling him Doctor. Your AI reasons that the Borg keep restarting their incursion from the same place because they have started a recursive loop to remove you. Destroying the scout is not enough; it must not report back. As you attack, she uploads Cochrane’s jammer so the scout cannot send its message, and the Borg never learn the mission failed. A last broken message from Cochrane comes through before the signal is lost.
Where and what warp
No pickup system and no location is listed. Warp is 1 to start and 1 to complete, so there is no travel. The recommended level is 15.
Both fights, the Borg vessel and the drone that flees it, are at roughly 6,600 strength.
First Contact Day: Epilogue rewards

Prologue and Epilogue compared
| Mission | Recommended level | Warp to complete | Fights | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| First Contact Day: Prologue | 15 | 13 | Borg vessel twice, about 6,600 each | 200 Ship XP, 1 12 Hour Assignment Speed Up, 280 Dilithium |
| First Contact Day: Epilogue | 15 | 1 | Borg vessel and fleeing drone, about 6,600 each | 21,000 Officer XP, 8 1 Hour Repair Speed Ups, 1 Relocation Token |
The Epilogue needs no travel at all and pays more than the Prologue, with 21,000 Officer XP and a Relocation Token against the Prologue’s 200 Ship XP and 280 Dilithium.
Tips
Any combat ship at level 15 will win both fights. Stay near your station; nothing in this mission needs a jump.
Hold on to the Relocation Token until you actually need it. The eight repair speed ups are handy for the fights that follow in other missions. Every mission by level is on the mission guide.
