Epina is a level 54 Sunspot mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. Colonists who have heard about your run of wins against the Sunspot gang point you at Epina, one of its elite guards, last seen around Samson. The mission is picked up in Samson and needs warp 285 to start and to complete. After 20 hostile kills and a fight with Epina at about 20.3 million strength, the reward is a Deanna Troi shard, 5,505,000,000 Parsteel, ten 30 Minute Repair Speed Ups and three 100K Tritanium Tokens.
Epina objectives
The colonist who gives you the job says the Sunspots are running scared and asks if you want to do more damage. Maia’s answer is short: always. Epina has been seen in or near the Samson system, and the colonists want her gone like the rest.
- Find the Sunspot hangar. Location: Samson.
- Defeat 20 hostiles of Level 53 or higher.
- Defeat Epina. Location: Samson. Enemy strength is roughly 20,291,657.
- Bring news back to Rotej. Location: Samson.
The kills are how you get Epina’s attention. When she shows up, she accuses you of picking off her new recruits and promises you will regret it. Once her ship is destroyed, Maia reports heavy damage and suggests leaving the system and reporting to the colony at Rotej, where the colonists say they watched the fight from the surface. There is no choice split.
Where and what warp
The pickup system is Samson, and every objective with a location is there, including Rotej, where you report back. The mission needs warp 285 to start and warp 285 to complete. The 20 hostile kills have no system attached, so any hostiles of level 53 or higher count. The recommended level is 54.

The Sunspot missions compared
Epina is one of nine Sunspot missions, from level 51 to 59, that follow the same pattern: find a gang leader, defeat 20 hostiles one level below the recommended level, then beat the leader. All nine pay ten 30 Minute Repair Speed Ups and three 100K Tritanium Tokens, so the table lists only the rewards that differ.

Epina and Fomek are the two that pay a Deanna Troi shard, so running both gives two shards. Epina’s 5,505,000,000 Parsteel is also the largest direct Parsteel reward in the set, though Wengar and Solar Flare pay more through 1B Parsteel Tokens.
Tips
Epina is listed at about 20,291,657 strength, between Mollusc at about 17.6 million and Alegar at about 22.2 million. Repair after the 20 kills so you start the leader fight at full health.
The 20 hostile kills are the slow part. Any hostiles of level 53 or higher count, so work through them wherever they are closest, then return to Samson for Epina.
The Troi shard is the reward that stands out. If you are collecting her, this is one of only two Sunspot missions that pay one, and it is the lower-level of the pair.
