Deep Space Bounties

Deep Space Bounties is a set of three outlaw-hunting missions in Star Trek Fleet Command, each paying Tritanium and Dilithium for bringing down a dangerous target. The first, Deep Space Bounties I, is a level 43 mission picked up in Vita Nova: you find and defeat Tarsy the Slasher in Ovala, then claim your reward back in Vita Nova. It needs warp 80 to accept and warp 110 to complete, and pays 9,600,000 Tritanium and 2,580,000 Dilithium. Bounties II and III follow the same pattern at higher levels, with bigger payouts.

Deep Space Bounties objectives

Deep Space Bounties I has three objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:

  • Find Tarsy the Slasher. Location: Ovala.
  • Defeat Tarsy the Slasher. Location: Ovala. Enemy strength is roughly 2,726,322.
  • Claim your reward. Location: Vita Nova.

Tarsy is the only fight. The reward is claimed back in the system where you picked up the bounty.

Where and what warp

Bounties I is offered in Vita Nova, and you need warp 80 to accept it. Finishing it takes warp 110, because Ovala sits further out. The recommended level is 43.

The game lists Nausicaan Marauders, Scouting Bandits and Independent Traders in Vita Nova at level 40 to 46, and Tal Shiar Agents and Reckless Bandits in Ovala at level 41 to 47. None of them are mission targets.

Deep Space Bounties rewards

Reward Amount
Tritanium 9,600,000
Dilithium 2,580,000

Bounties I does not unlock Bounties II. Each bounty is picked up separately from its own system.

Deep Space Bounties at other levels

The second and third bounties are higher level with tougher targets, and each one nearly doubles the Tritanium of the one before. Bounties II is picked up in Verin: you defeat Rorsh in Alycen (about 7,227,080 strength) and claim the reward back in Verin. Bounties III is picked up in Genflint: you find and capture an outlaw in Neo’Tek (about 9,254,282 strength) and claim the reward in Genflint.

Recommended level Systems Warp to complete Rewards
43 Vita Nova, Ovala 110 (80 to accept) 9,600,000 Tritanium, 2,580,000 Dilithium
46 Verin, Alycen 110 18,000,000 Tritanium, 3,500,000 Dilithium
48 Genflint, Neo’Tek 160 32,400,000 Tritanium, 6,600,000 Dilithium

The later bounties have their own pages: Deep Space Bounties II and Deep Space Bounties III.

Tips

Start with Bounties I if you are around level 43. Tarsy at about 2.7 million strength is the lightest of the three targets, and the warp 110 route is shared with Bounties II.

Bounties III is the big one: 32.4 million Tritanium and 6.6 million Dilithium, but it needs warp 160 and a ship that can take on a target of more than 9 million strength.

Every bounty ends with a trip back to the pickup system to claim the reward, so do not stop at the fight. Other missions by level are on the mission guide.
