The U.S.S. Stargazer is a Rare grade 7 Federation Battleship, a sagan-class hull fitted with components derived from Borg research. It is built to farm hostiles: its always-on ability raises the resources you pull from Hostiles, while a second ability hardens it against Isolytic damage. You unlock the build at Shipyard level 76. For a player grinding late-game hostile loot on a G7 combat hull, it earns its slot.

How to get the U.S.S. Stargazer

Building the U.S.S. Stargazer takes 350 blueprints and a Shipyard at level 76. Once those are met, the build cost is 46,000 Σ-Dilithium, 3,000 7★ Common Refined Ore, 4,500,000 Σ-Tritanium, and 700 7★ Common Refined Kristall, with a build time of 250 days. The game Daten lists the requirement and cost but not where the blueprints come from, so plan the parts around whatever event or store is offering them when you decide to chase the ship.

U.S.S. Stargazer ability

The Stargazer carries two always-active ship abilities. Angebot und Nachfrage increases the amount of resources gained from Hostiles, scaling from +20% at ship level 1 to +175% at ship level 75. Isolytic Ward increases Isolytic Defense against non-armada Hostiles, scaling from +2,000% at level 1 to +3,500% at level 75. Both run without any input from you. In practice this makes the Stargazer a dedicated hostile-grinding hull: it pulls more loot per kill and shrugs off the Isolytic damage that higher-level hostiles deal, so it holds up on long farming sessions.

U.S.S. Stargazer active ability

Beyond the always-on abilities, the Stargazer has two player-triggered ship abilities that you activate and that run on a cooldown. Schiff Tarnung hides your ship; the cloak ends when its duration expires or when you enter combat, begin mining, or dock at a station. Field Repairs instantly repairs 25% of the ship’s health while it is undocked and out of combat. Cloaking is useful for slipping past hostile territory or masking a move, and Field Repairs saves a trip to dock during a farming run. Both are unlocked through refits, covered below.

Stats and tiers

These are base values from the current game data; research, buffs, and Offiziere raise them in play. The Stargazer reaches a maximum of tier 15 and ship level 75.

Ebene Warp (speed / range) Impulse Cargo (protected) Shield HP Hull HP Health (displayed)
Stufe 1 11 / 3,130 100 82,900 (4,145) 2,300,571,300 2,608,895,289 2,454,733,295
Stufe 8 11.7 / 4,280 104 115,500 (5,755) 4,053,313,670 4,596,541,276 4,324,927,473
Tier 15 12.4 / 4,820 110 162,900 (8,125) 7,839,368,051 8,890,005,006 8,364,686,529

Health (displayed) is the shield/hull average the game shows on the ship card.

Weapons and firing pattern

Warm-up is the combat round a weapon first fires; cool-down is the number of rounds between shots after that. Values below are at max tier 15.

Waffe Typ Shots Warm-up Cool-down Damage Crit chance Crit damage
Waffe 1 Kinetic 2 1 3 154,074,716–192,593,395 10% 150%
Waffe 2 Energie 2 1 3 154,074,716–192,593,395 10% 150%
Waffe 3 Kinetic 2 2 3 308,149,432–385,186,790 10% 150%
Waffe 4 Energie 2 3 3 308,149,432–385,186,790 10% 150%

The Stargazer mixes Kinetic and Energy weapons, with two heavier mounts (weapons 3 and 4) that hit for roughly double the two opening mounts.

Crew slots and officer bonus

Officer slots open up as the ship levels:

Ship level Officer slots
5 1

The Stargazer also gives your officers a stat bonus that steps up as the ship’s combined officer stats climb. Attack, defense, and health use the same ladder, so one column covers all three.

U.S.S. Stargazer refits

Refits unlock extra functions on the ship using shards and resources. The Stargazer’s refits turn on its active abilities and boost its armada payout.

Nachrüstung What it does
Field Repairs Unlocks the Field Repairs active ability, which instantly repairs 25% of the ship’s health out of combat while undocked. Costs 120 shards to unlock.
U.S.S. Stargazer Gold Increases the ship’s Open Armada Fragment rewards by 100% when you defeat an Open Armada.
U.S.S. Stargazer Cloaking Unlocks the Cloaking ability. While cloaked, weapon damage increases by 900%, the ship gains invisibility, and there is a 66% base chance to hide your name and alliance data from enemy Battle Reports.

Crew for the U.S.S. Stargazer

The Stargazer is a Battleship built for hostile grinding, so the guiding idea is a bridge that boosts weapon damage and keeps the ship alive across long farming runs. Because its own abilities already lift hostile loot and Isolytic defense, you want captain and officer picks that raise raw damage or mitigation rather than fighting the ship’s role. Officer choices shift with the meta, so check the current picks on our Officer Tier List before you commit shards, and match the crew to the specific hostiles or armadas you plan to farm.

The U.S.S. Stargazer in Star Trek

The Stargazer name is famous in canon as Jean-Luc Picard’s first Befehl, the Constellation-class ship he captained before the Enterprise. A later vessel bearing the name served as a next-generation Föderation flagship built with reclaimed Borg technology. The game’s sagan-class Stargazer is its own design rather than a screen-accurate recreation, but it leans on that same premise: the in-game description calls it a far cry from its “overworked, underpowered” predecessor, rebuilt with components derived from Borg research, updated weapons, and boosted quad nacelles. That Borg-tech thread ties the game ship back to the Stargazer’s most recent canon appearance.

Is the U.S.S. Stargazer worth it?

For players at the grade 7 tier, the Stargazer is a strong farming hull. Supply and Demand pays you back on every hostile kill, Isolytic Ward keeps it standing against the Isolytic damage that defines late-game hostiles, and the Gold refit sweetens Open Armada runs. It asks for a Shipyard at level 76 and a long 250-day build, so it suits established players deep into G7 rather than anyone rushing toward it early. If your endgame loop is grinding hostiles and armadas, it belongs on the shortlist.
