Upgrade Operations to Level 30 is a station mission in Star Trek Fleet Command with a single objective: raise your Operations building to level 30. It needs only warp 1 to start and finish, and the game lists a recommended level of 1, so the upgrade itself is the whole task. The reward is 2,500,000 Tritanium and one 1 Hour Repair Speed Up, and completing it unlocks the next station mission. It pays out on an upgrade you were always going to make.

The mission reward is more than four times the Tritanium the upgrade itself costs. It does nothing for the Parsteel or refined Erze, which are the parts of this upgrade most players wait on.

Level 30 is where the speed ups change size. The three 15 Minute Repair Speed Ups of levels 28 and 29 become a single 1 Hour one, and from level 31 you get two. The Tritanium jumps by 750,000 here, three times the step from level 28 to 29.
Tips
Operations 30 is also the objective of the story mission Nördlich, which pays 5,000,000 Parsteel. The same upgrade is the objective of both Missionen.
Put the Tritanium toward the buildings that gate Operations. Level 30 itself needed Shipyard 29 and Ship Hangar 29, and level 31 asks for Shipyard 30 plus Verteidigungsplattformen A and B at level 30, so those upgrades are the next Tritanium sinks.
Hold the 1 Hour Repair Speed Up for a badly damaged combat ship rather than a light scrape.
The mission that unlocks this one is Aufrüstung der Verteidigungsplattform D auf Stufe 5, which fits, since Defense Platform D 10 is one of the Operations 30 requirements. Other station missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
