Ungewöhnliche Zunge

Uncommon Tongue is a story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you look for a way to communicate with the Crucibles. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 70 to complete, with meetings in Yreva and Sileo and two trips back to your station. There is no fight, but you must donate 1.5 million Dilithium. The reward is 900 4★ Common Refined Kristall and 100 4★ Ungewöhnlich Refined Crystal, and it unlocks the next mission, Sitting Ducks.

Uncommon Tongue objectives

The story line reads: find a way to communicate with the Crucibles. There are five objectives and no choice split:

  • Meet with Arlen. Location: Yreva.
  • Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.
  • Meet with the trader. Location: Sileo.
  • Donate 1.5M Dilithium.
  • Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.

The mission is a round trip twice over: out to Yreva and back, then out to Sileo, where you pay the trader, and back again. No hostile is listed at any step.

Wo und welcher Warp

The mission starts at warp 1 and needs warp 70 to complete. Yreva and Sileo are the two systems you visit, and both trips end at your station.

The game lists a recommended level of 1. With no combat, the real requirements are the warp 70 range and 1.5 million Dilithium.

Uncommon Tongue rewards

4★ Gemeinsame Veredelter Kristall 900
4★ Uncommon Refined Crystal 100

Completing the mission also unlocks Sitzende Enten.

Tips

Save up the Dilithium first. The 1.5 million donation is the only real cost, and it comes after you have already flown to Sileo, so running short there means a wasted trip.

Any ship with warp 70 can do this. There is nothing to fight, so use a survey ship or spare explorer and keep your combat ship free.

The 4★ refined crystal is the reason to run it. At this stage 1,000 pieces of 4★ crystal go a long way toward ship and building upgrades that call for it. Other missions by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
