Overgrowth is a level 48 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you try to stop a spore infestation from spreading through the galaxy. It is picked up in Petandria at warp 160 and needs warp 185 to complete. There are three objectives, and the middle one is a fight with the USS Beirut at roughly 9.55 million strength. The reward list carries two Parsteel bundles of 143,200,000 each, along with 4★ Gemeinsame Interceptor and Battleship Parts and Recruit Tokens. It follows on from Plantsitting and its spore story.

Overgrowth objectives

Three objectives, no choice split:

  • Investigate the distress signal. Location: Neo’Tek.
  • Defeat the USS Beirut. Location: Neo’Tek. Enemy strength is roughly 9,550,149.
  • Bring Doctor Seena to the lab. Location: Rek’Sgar.

The distress signal takes you to Neo’Tek, where the USS Beirut is waiting. That fight is the whole combat load of the mission, and at around 9.55 million strength it is a serious one. After it you carry Doctor Seena to the lab in Rek’Sgar, which completes the mission. There are no kill counts and no donations.

Wo und welcher Warp

Overgrowth is picked up in Petandria, which needs warp 160. Completing it needs warp 185, because Neo’Tek and Rek’Sgar are further out. The recommended level is 48.

Overgrowth rewards

Belohnung Amount
Parsteel 143,200,000
4★ Common Interceptor Parts 240
Recruit Tokens 20
Parsteel 143,200,000
4★ Common Battleship Parts 240
Recruit Tokens 20

The game data attaches the first bundle, with the Interceptor Parts, to the opening objective and the second, with the Battleship Parts, to the final objective. Taken together that is 286,400,000 Parsteel, 40 Recruit Tokens and 240 of each type of 4★ Common parts.

Overgrowth and the spore missions compared

Mission Pickup Warp Fight and cost Belohnungen
Pflanzensitz Talora 160 to start, 185 to complete Infested vessel (about 9,527,375), 50M Parsteel donation 113,400,000 Tritanium, 751,800,000 Parsteel
Überwucherung Petandria 160 to start, 185 to complete USS Beirut (about 9,550,149) 286,400,000 Parsteel in two bundles, parts, 40 Recruit Tokens

Plantsitting also ends at the Rek’Sgar botany lab, where you deal with the first infested vessel and pay 50 million Parsteel to isolate the spores. Overgrowth picks up the same spore threat and ends with Doctor Seena delivered to a lab in the same system. The two fights are almost identical in strength, so a ship that cleared Plantsitting is ready for the USS Beirut. Plantsitting pays much more Parsteel and adds Tritanium, while Overgrowth trades that for ship parts and has no donation.

Tips

Bring your strongest combat ship for the USS Beirut. At roughly 9.55 million strength it is the only obstacle, and losing it means another long trip at warp 185.

Split the parts by fleet. 240 4★ Common Interceptor Parts and 240 4★ Common Battleship Parts go to different ship types, so the mission is most useful if you run both.

Neo’Tek comes up again in Wer kennt den Weg?, a level 48 mapping mission, if you want more work in the same area. Other missions by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
