To Err is Human is a Borg story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. You need to retrieve data from Ritsche’s Starfleet ship in Mapic, but a Borg ship of about 347,055 strength is in the way. It starts at warp 1 and needs warp 19 to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1, so the Borg fight is the real bar. The reward is a One of Eleven shard and 53,000 Officer XP, and finishing it unlocks To Forgive is Divine.
To Err is Human objectives
Three objectives with no choice split:
- Destroy the Borg ship. Location: Mapic. Enemy strength is roughly 347,055.
- Retrieve the data from the Starfleet ship. Location: Mapic.
- Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.
The mission opens with the fight. The Borg ship in Mapic has to go before you can reach Ritsche’s ship, and once it does, you retrieve the data from the Starfleet vessel in the same system and fly home.

Mapic is the battleground for two Missionen in a row, and the Borg ship here is much stronger than the one in Vulnerable. To Forgive is Divine then brings a Borg ship to your own system before sending you to deal with Admiral Hoss.
Tips
Go in at full hull. The Borg ship is the first objective and the only fight, so there is no warm-up and no chance to repair before it.
Put the Officer XP into a bridge officer you use every day. 53,000 is a solid amount at this stage.
Repair when you get home. To Forgive is Divine opens with a Borg ship of about 293,839 in your own system, so you want your ship ready as soon as this mission ends.
