The Long Way Home is an eight-part mission chain in which you reunite with Voyager’s crew, take Seven of Nine back to Earth and then help her build a new crew to face the Krenim. Every part is recommended for level 42 and starts at warp 1, but the chain reaches out to warp 40 to 80 to finish, with Yoruba in the Neutral Zone as its base. The headline rewards are three rounds of Specialist Seven shards, plus Kathryn Janeway and Neelix shards, a 1 Day Speed Up stack and heavy Dilithium and Parsteel payouts. It is a long chain with six named fights, and it pays well enough to be worth the travel.

Tips for completing The Long Way Home
Stockpile before you start. The chain asks for 20M Tritanium in Part 2, 70k 4★ Raw Ore in Part 5, 50M Parsteel in Part 7, and on the Save the planet path in Part 6 another 50k 4★ Raw Crystal. Path 1 in Part 8 adds a 10M Tritanium donation on top.
Warp is the other gate. Most parts finish at warp 47 or 56, but Part 4 reaches warp 80 because of the trip to Chalor Prime. A ship that cannot reach that far will stall the chain halfway through.
The named fights sit between about 6.4 million and 9.6 million strength. The Orion Slaver in Part 1 is the easiest, and Korthax in Part 8 is the hardest at roughly 9.55 million. Part 5 stacks the Karush breakout, a 14-hostile grind and the Arkonian Pirate into one part, so repair between those steps.
Both choices in Part 8 pay a Specialist Seven shard, so the decision comes down to the extra item and Ressourcen. Path 1 gives Janeway’s Pocket Watch and Dilithium but costs an extra 10M Tritanium and one more strong fight; Path 2 gives the Krenim Time Weapon, Tritanium, Latinum and 4★ Broken Explorer Parts.
Are The Long Way Home rewards worth it?
Yes, for a level 42 player. The chain hands out three Specialist Seven shard rewards, 3 Janeway shards and 8 Neelix shards, along with 40 1 Day Speed Ups, over 240 million Parsteel before choice rewards and several million Dilithium. The cost is a warp 80 trip, around 70 million in Tritanium and Parsteel donations, and fights up to 9.55 million strength. For other missions at this level, see the STFC mission guide.
