The Body in the Brig is a level 60 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you clear an old friend, Hela, of a murder charge before the authorities on Fotz execute her. Every objective takes place in the Daz system, which is also the pickup, and the mission needs warp 700 to start and to complete. Along the way you pay 3,000,000 Dilithium for a tip and fight the Mayor’s ship. The reward is ten 1B Tritanium Tokens, an Orb of Prosperity and two 3 Day Speed Ups, which is a strong return for a mission that never leaves one system.
The Body in the Brig objectives
Hela sends word that she is locked up on Fotz after a Fotzian diplomat’s body turned up in her ship’s brig. She insists she is being framed and asks you to find the real killer, starting with the diplomat’s embassy. Your officer Narian beams down and talks to Garrat, the dead diplomat’s assistant, who will only point you in the right direction for a price.
- Fly to the prison on Fotz. Location: Daz.
- Visit the Fotzian Embassy building. Location: Daz.
- Pay the diplomat’s PA to dish the dirt. The payment is 3,000,000 Dilithium.
- Visit the Mayor’s office. Location: Daz.
- Defeat the Mayor’s ship. Location: Daz. Enemy strength is roughly 1,911,831,138.
- Release Hela from prison. Location: Daz.
Garrat’s tip is that the diplomat, Jarop, was having an affair with the wife of Fotz Capital’s Mayor. Confronted in his office, Mayor Vahl admits the killing and says he had the body moved onto the nearest privateer ship so Hela would take the blame. He then orders his security to destroy your ship, which is the fight. With the confession recorded, you head to the prison to see Hela released.
There is no choice split. Every player follows the same six steps.

The pickup system is Daz, and the mission lists warp 700 both to start and to complete. Every objective with a location is also in Daz, so once you have made the trip there is no further travel. The donation step has no location and can be completed wherever your ship is. The recommended level is 60.

Tips
Have the Dilithium ready before you start. The third objective asks for 3,000,000 Dilithium, and the mission cannot move on until it is paid. At level 60 that is a modest cost, and the reward more than makes up for it.
The Mayor’s ship is the only fight, listed at about 1.91 billion strength. It comes near the end, after all the travel is already done, so there is no reason to bring a separate survey ship for the early steps. Send the combat ship you plan to fight with and keep it in Daz.
Ten 1B Tritanium Tokens add up to 10 billion Tritanium, the headline of the reward. The two 3 Day Speed Ups are also worth saving for a long upgrade rather than spending on something that would finish soon anyway.
