The Scimitar is a grade 6 Epic Romulan Battleship in Star Trek Fleet Command, the Reman warship from Star Trek: Nemesis rebuilt for the endgame. It unlocks at Shipyard level 70 and fights as a heavy damage dealer: its ability piles on weapon damage for as long as the target is burning, and it can cloak to pick its moment. For players deep in the grade 6 bracket, it is one of the hardest-hitting Schlachtschiffe you can build.

How to get the Scimitar

The Scimitar is a built ship. You need 650 blueprints and a Shipyard at level 70 before construction opens. The build cost is 1,300 Σ-Dilithium, 148,800 Σ-Tritanium, 730 6★ Common Refined Kristall, and 2,900 6★ Common Refined Ore, with a build time of 67 days. The blueprint source is not part of the ship Daten, so check the current in-game events and stores for where Scimitar blueprints are offered.

Scimitar ability

The Scimitar’s ship ability is Designed For War, and like all ship abilities it is always active. As long as the opponent has the Burning status, every time the Scimitar’s Incinerator hits, its weapon damage increases by 1,820% of base and keeps stacking. That per-hit value grows with ship level, from 1,820% at level 1 up to 2,000% at level 90. In practice the damage snowballs across a round-by-round fight, so the ship pays off most when your crew and setup keep the enemy on fire from the opening salvo.

Scimitar active ability

The Scimitar also carries an active, player-triggered ability: Schiff Tarnung. When you activate it the ship is cloaked, and the cloak ends when its duration runs out or when you enter combat, begin mining, or dock at a station. You control when to use it, which lets you stage a hit or reposition without being targeted, dropping the cloak only when you commit to the fight.

Weapons and firing pattern

Warm-up is the round a weapon first fires; cool-down is the number of rounds between shots after that. These are the five weapons at max tier 18.

Waffe Typ Shots Warm-up Cool-down Damage Crit chance Crit damage
Waffe 1 Energie 1 6 3 11,923,499–14,573,160 10% 150%
Waffe 2 Energie 1 5 4 17,081,157–20,876,988 10% 150%

Waffe 5 Kinetic 1 2 1 10,071,036–12,309,050 10% 150%

The Incinerator named in the ship ability is the weapon that drives the Burning stack, so keeping it firing is what powers the Designed For War ramp.

Scimitar refits

Refits are shard-cost upgrades that unlock extra ship functions. The Scimitar has five, each costing 120 shards to unlock.

Nachrüstung What it does
Scimitar Gold Refit Increases the Designed For War ability by 375% of base.
Scimitar Unwavering Diligence Unlocks the Unwavering Diligence ability, which raises Isolytic Damage against all enemies. It scales by tier: 40% at Tier 9, 43% at Tier 10, 46% at Tier 11, 49% at Tier 12, 52% at Tier 13, 55% at Tier 14, 58% at Tier 15, 61% at Tier 16, 64% at Tier 17, and 70% at Tier 18. Requires a Tier 9 Scimitar.
Scimitar Cloaking Enables cloaking for the Scimitar and increases base weapon damage by 700%.
Hijacked TOS Scimitar Unlocks the Hijacked refit for the ship.
Scimitar Simulacrum Increases Critical Mitigation against players by 500 and against Akademie Training Drones by 40,000 at the start of combat.

Crew for the Scimitar

The Scimitar’s ability only ramps while the enemy is Burning, so the guiding principle is a bridge that applies and sustains Burning on the target, backed by weapon-damage boosters to make each Incinerator hit land harder. Officers that reduce the enemy’s mitigation or add hull-breach and morale pressure fit the same aggressive profile. Picks in this slot shift with the meta, so check the Officer Tier List for the current best combat officers before you settle a crew.

The Scimitar in Star Trek

The Scimitar appeared in the 2002 film Star Trek: Nemesis. It was a Reman warbird built in secret and commanded by Shinzon, a cloned copy of Captain Picard, in a plot to overthrow the Romulan Senate and strike at the Federation. The ship carried a perfect cloak that emitted no tachyons, a heavy array of disruptor Banken and photon torpedo tubes, and a thalaron radiation weapon capable of wiping out the crew of an entire vessel. In the film it fought the Enterprise-E in a close, brutal battle, which makes it a fitting centerpiece for a late-game Romulan fleet.

Is the Scimitar worth it?

The Scimitar is an endgame prize aimed at players who have reached Shipyard level 70 and can support a grade 6 hull. Its Designed For War ability rewards fleets built around Burning, and the cloak and refits give it a role in both PvP and armada work. If you are still climbing toward the grade 6 tier it is a long build to plan for rather than a quick pickup, but for players in that bracket who want a hard-hitting Romulan battleship, it earns its place.
