The Realta is a grade 1 Common Explorer and one of the first ships most commanders build in Star Trek Fleet Command. Its always-on ability adds a little extra shield health, and its stat line is set up for cheap, early general use rather than heavy combat. You put it together for a handful of Tritanium in under an hour. For a brand-new account it is a fine first Explorer, and not much more than that.
How to get the Realta
The Realta needs 10 blueprints, and the build itself is cheap: 500 Tritanium, with construction finishing in about 40 minutes. That low cost and short timer are the point, since this is an early ship meant to get a new commander moving rather than a long project. Where the blueprints show up rotates over time, so check what is currently offering them in game rather than counting on any one source.
Realta ability
The ship ability is Enhanced Shield. It raises the Realta’s maximum shield health by 10 at ship level 1 and scales up to 110 by level 20. Ship abilities are always active, so the extra shield sits on the ship the moment it launches. On a hull this small the bonus is modest, but it pushes the Realta toward soaking a bit more damage before the shield drops, which fits its role as a durable early Explorer. With hull HP fixed and the shield doing all the growing, that shield is the Realta’s real line of defense in a fight.
Stats and tiers
Base values from the current game data; research, buffs, and Offiziere raise them in play.
| Ebene | Warp (speed / range) | Impulse | Cargo (protected) | Shield HP | Hull HP | Health (displayed) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.5 / 2 | 150 | 1,000 (100) | 50 | 50 | 50 |
| 2 | 1.7 / 3 | 150 | 1,000 (100) | 70 | 50 | 60 |
| 4 | 2 / 6 | 150 | 1,000 (100) | 140 | 50 | 95 |
The pattern worth noticing: hull HP holds at 50 across every tier while the shield climbs from 50 to 140, so the Enhanced Shield ability reinforces the part of the ship that actually grows. Cargo stays a flat 1,000 with only 100 protected, which confirms this is a general-purpose Explorer and not a hauler.
Weapons and firing pattern
Warm-up is the round a weapon first fires; cool-down is the number of rounds between shots after that. The Realta carries two identical energy weapons, both firing from the opening round.
| Waffe | Typ | Shots | Warm-up | Cool-down | Damage | Crit chance | Crit damage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Energy weapon 1 | Energie | 1 | 1 | 1 | 40–48 | 10% | 150% |
| Energy weapon 2 | Energie | 1 | 1 | 1 | 40–48 | 10% | 150% |
Two energy weapons on a grade 1 hull make for light output, so the Realta wins its early fights on hull matchup and survivability more than raw damage.
Crew slots and officer bonus
The Realta opens its first officer slot at ship level 5 and a second at level 15.
| Ship level | Officer slots |
|---|---|
| 5 | 1 |
| 15 | 2 |
The ship also boosts the officers you seat on it, stepping up as it progresses. The bonus to your officers’ attack, defense, and health climbs from 10% at the first step to 100% at the top, and those three stats move together at every step. With only two seats, the Realta works as much as a place to level early officers as a finished bridge.
Realta refits
The Realta has two refits, both skins that also carry a small stat change.
| Nachrüstung | What it does |
|---|---|
| Realta Swift Refit | Unlocks the Realta Swift skin and raises the ship’s impulse speed by 20. Costs 80 shards to unlock. |
| Realta Battle-Ready Refit | Unlocks the Realta Battle-Ready skin and increases the Realta’s damage by 200% of base against other players. Costs 80 shards to unlock. |
Crew for the Realta
As an Explorer, the Realta is at its best against Interceptors and leans on survivability, so the crew principle is to seat officers that add survey or combat survivability rather than glass-cannon attack. Because its own ability only touches shield health, officers that stretch that lead further, or that suit whatever early task you are running, get the most out of it. On a grade 1 ship with two seats, this is mostly a training bench for officers you are still leveling. Current best picks shift with the game’s meta, so check the Officer Tier List for who is strong right now and build around your own roster.
The Realta in Star Trek
The Realta is original to Star Trek Fleet Befehl and has no counterpart on screen. The game frames it as a reliable, old-fashioned Explorer built from early Earth starship designs: simple components, a small hull, and enough of them commissioned in the early 2100s that the class became a symbol of the Independent movement. That backstory is why the Realta reads as a scrappy, homegrown ship rather than the product of a major faction shipyard.
Is the Realta worth it?
For a new account, yes, in the narrow sense that it is one of the cheapest and fastest Explorers you can put in the water. It fills an early general-purpose slot, holds up better than its grade suggests thanks to the shield ability, and costs almost nothing to build. It is not a ship you keep for long, and higher-grade Explorers outclass it quickly, but as a first step into the Explorer line it does the job. The game data lists no scrap level for it, so it is not a dedicated scrap feeder either; most players simply retire it to the dock once a stronger hull comes online.
