Predator and Pray is a two-part mission chain that reunites you with Captain Cooper Jakes, a Starfleet xenotheologian, and his Kreyanthan partner Sib Lambda. They want help investigating an apparent god in the Esteris system, where the Disciples of the Omegron worship an entity that will not let ships leave. Both parts are recommended for level 61 and reach warp 900, with the chain picked up in Esteris. Rewards include 4,386,667,000 Tritanium, 800 Ultra Recruit Token, 800 Culver Particle and 50 3 Hour Speed Up. It is a short chain with two light fights and one hostile grind, almost all of it in a single system.

Predator and Pray Part 1
Investigate the apparent appearance of a God in the Esteris system. You pick up Jakes at the edge of Esteris space and meet the Disciples of the Omegron, who turn hostile. When you try to leave, you find the system sealed.
- Collect Captain Cooper Jakes from the edge of Esteris space.
- Meet the Disciples of the Omegron in Esteris.
- Defeat the Disciple Vessel in Esteris (enemy strength ~2,222,048,490).
- Try to leave the system in Esteris.
- Try to leave the system again in Esteris.
- Defeat 10 hostiles of level 60 or higher.
Warp to complete: 900.
Rewards: 20 3 Hour Speed Up, 1,100 Trait XP and 4,386,667,000 Tritanium.
Predator and Pray Part 2
Bring an end to Omegron’s baleful sphere of influence. With more ships gathering and the barrier still up, you hide across the system to test how far Omegron’s powers reach, study where it first appeared and then move against it.
- Find a place to hide in Esteris.
- Investigate the site of Omegron’s first manifestation in Esteris.
- Analyze the findings in Esteris.
- Defeat the Disciple Vessel in Esteris (enemy strength ~2,222,048,490).
- Destroy Omegron in Esteris.
- Transport Captain Jakes to Retha.
Warp to complete: 900.
Rewards: 800 Ultra Recruit Token, 30 3 Hour Speed Up and 800 Culver Particle.
Tips for completing Predator and Pray
Almost the whole chain happens in Esteris, so there is little travel until the final trip to Retha. The two Disciple Vessel fights are listed at about 2.2 billion strength, light for level 61.
The step that takes time is the end of Part 1, where you need to defeat 10 hostiles of level 60 or higher. Clear it wherever suitable hostiles are close, then continue into Part 2.
There are no donations, choices or faction point changes. Captain Jakes and the Kreyantha come from The Calling, in which Jakes is installed as the Federation’s interim ambassador on Retha, the Kreyantha base world, and Retha is where this chain drops him off. Esteris is also where the level 61 Last Contact chain follows the path of the lost Vulcan ship T’Lota.
