The K’T’inga is a grade 4 Uncommon Klingon Battleship in Star Trek Fleet Command, unlocked once your Shipyard reaches level 42. It plays as a defensive workhorse: its ability raises the damage of every ship and defense platform while you are under attack, and a refit lets it cloak. If you hold a station or run Klingonisch space, the K’T’inga earns its dock slot.
How to get the K’T’inga
Building the K’T’inga takes 150 blueprints and a Shipyard at level 42. The build also gates behind a ship research unlock, so clear that before you expect the hull to appear in your Shipyard. Once those are in place, the build cost is 25,000,000 Tritanium, 1,600,000 Dilithium, 7,000 4★ Common Refined Ore, and 2,450 4★ Common Refined Crystal, with a build time of 150 days. It can be scrapped once your Betrieb building reaches level 55, which makes it a useful parts feeder later on.
K’T’inga ability
The ship ability is Defender of Honor. When the K’T’inga is defending, at the start of each round it raises the damage of all your ships and defense platforms by a set percentage. That value grows with ship level, from 10% at level 1 to 50% at level 60. Ship abilities are always active, so there is nothing to trigger. In play this makes the K’T’inga a station-defense pick: park it in a base or armada defense and every friendly hull hits harder each round. Because the boost reaches your defense platforms too, it is most valuable on a station under real pressure rather than in a solo fight.
K’T’inga active ability
The K’T’inga can also mount Ship Cloaking through a refit. Cloaking hides your ship on the map. It ends when the duration runs out, when you enter combat, when you start mining, or when you dock. You trigger it yourself, and like other active abilities it runs on a cooldown that shortens as the ship tiers up. Cloaking helps you slip a ship through contested space or reposition without drawing fire. Two more active abilities, Relentless Assault and Field Repairs, also come from refits and are covered below.
Stats and tiers
These are base values from the current game Daten. Research, buffs, and Offiziere raise them in play.
| Ebene | Warp (speed / range) | Impulse | Cargo (protected) | Shield HP | Hull HP | Health (displayed) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 3.5 / 85 | 72 | 40,000 (1,000) | 214,681 | 377,316 | 295,999 |
| 6 | 4 / 150 | 72 | 56,000 (1,400) | 214,681 | 514,049 | 364,365 |

Weapons and firing pattern
Warm-up is the round a weapon first fires; cool-down is how many rounds pass between shots after that. The kinetic weapon below is the ship’s main torpedo launcher, the heaviest hitter on the hull.
| Waffe | Typ | Shots | Warm-up | Cool-down | Damage | Crit chance | Crit damage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Energie | 2 | 1 | 1 | 26,076–31,288 | 10% | 150% |
| 2 | Energie | 2 | 1 | 1 | 26,076–31,288 | 10% | 150% |
| 3 | Kinetic | 4 | 2 | 3 | 78,223–86,045 | 10% | 150% |
Crew slots and officer bonus
The K’T’inga opens officer slots as it levels up.
| Ship level | Officer slots |
|---|---|
| 5 | 1 |
| 10 | 2 |
| 20 | 3 |
| 35 | 4 |
| 55 | 5 |
The ship also boosts your officers’ attack, defense, and health stats, stepping up a ladder as it progresses. The three stats use the same values, so the ladder below applies to each.
| Amount | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 700 | 40% |
| 1,400 | 80% |
| 2,275 | 120% |
| 3,150 | 160% |
| 4,200 | 200% |
| 5,600 | 240% |
| 7,700 | 280% |
| 10,500 | 320% |
| 14,000 | 360% |
| 21,000 | 400% |
K’T’inga refits
Refits unlock extra abilities and a skin for the ship. Each one costs shards, and some also need a specific building.
| Nachrüstung | What it does |
|---|---|
| K’T’inga Cloaking | Unlocks the ship’s cloak. Costs 60 shards. |
| K’T’inga Relentless Assault | Unlocks Relentless Assault, which increases weapon damage against hostiles and armadas. Needs a level 42 Armory and 60 shards. |
| Breen Warships | Unlocks the Breen Warship skin for the ship. |
| Field Repairs | Unlocks Field Repairs, which instantly repairs 25% of the ship’s health out of combat while undocked. Costs 120 shards. |
Crew for the K’T’inga
As a defensive Battleship, the K’T’inga wants a bridge that leans into weapon damage or survivability rather than mining. Because Defender of Honor rewards you for defending, it fits a station or armada defense crew where lifting your fleet’s damage each round pays off most. For current officer picks, see the Officer Tier List, and keep in mind the best crew shifts with the meta.
The K’T’inga in Star Trek
The K’t’inga-class battle cruiser first appeared in Star Trek: The Motion Picture in 1979, where a squadron of them opened the film with an attack on the V’Ger cloud. It was a refinement of the older D7 cruiser and served as the Klingon Empire’s mainstay warship for decades of screen history, still turning up through the Next Generation and Deep Space Nine era. The design kept the long forward neck and swept wings of the classic Klingon cruiser, armed with disruptors and photon torpedoes. In the game it holds that same role as a torpedo-heavy Klingon battleship.
Is the K’T’inga worth it?
For a grade 4 ship, the K’T’inga fills a clear defensive niche. Defender of Honor makes it a real station-defense option for its band, the cloak refit adds flexibility, and its Klingon build fits players working toward the faction’s later hulls. It will not out-muscle higher-grade Schlachtschiffe, and it becomes scrap fodder once your Operations reaches level 55. Chase it if you play Klingon, want a defensive hull while you climb, or need a steady grade 4 scrap source down the line.
