The Frontier Raider is a Neutral hostile that roams the mid-galaxy neutral systems between levels 60 and 71. It only spawns as an Explorer-hull ship, so a Battleship is the ship you want against it. Kills drop 6-star Broken Explorer Parts and Broken Survey Parts. It appears both as the regular Frontier Raider and as a hazard-zone version the game tags “Frontier Raider HAZ”, and this guide covers both.
How to beat the Frontier Raider
The Frontier Raider has one hull type, Explorer, at every level it spawns. Schlachtschiffe beat Explorers, so bring a Battleship and you hold the hull advantage the whole way from level 60 to 71. There is nothing to swap between levels here, the counter never changes. Explorer-hull ships lean on high hull and shield health, which is why the Raider’s totals below look so heavy on defense; a Battleship’s damage bonus against Explorers is what cuts through that in a reasonable number of rounds.
Watch its ship ability, Interceptor Exploitation. It raises the Raider’s damage against Interceptors by 50% at levels 60 to 62, 75% at 63 to 65, and 100% from level 66 up, and it stays active for the first five rounds of combat. That only bites if you fly an Interceptor into the fight, which is one more reason to stick with a Battleship.
For crew, put a captain that boosts weapon damage against hostiles in the captain seat, then fill the bridge with Offiziere that add damage or shield mitigation. The exact names move with each update, so check the Officer Tier List for current picks. Treat any crew you read today as a starting point, not a permanent answer.
Where to find the Frontier Raider
The Frontier Raider clusters in neutral space. The lower levels, 60 to 65, spread across the widest set of systems and sit at warp 900. As the level climbs the spawn list narrows and the warp cost rises, reaching warp 1550 at level 71 in Nisa and Wigg. The deeper, higher-warp systems are where the hazard-zone version turns up, so match your warp range to the level you plan to farm before you fly out.

Rewards and what it drops
Every Frontier Raider kill pays out 6-star ship part materials, the kind you need for endgame Explorer and Survey hulls. Ship XP also climbs steeply with level, so a higher-level Raider is a better feeder for a ship you are ranking up.
| Ablegen | What it is |
|---|---|
| 6★ Broken Explorer Parts | Building and upgrading material for 6-star Explorer-Schiffe |
| 6★ Broken Survey Parts | Building and upgrading material for 6-star Survey (mining) ships |
Frontier Raider stats
Stats vary by hull variant and climb steeply with level; these three rows anchor the low, middle, and top of the range.

Frontier Raider firing pattern
The Raider fires two weapon groups. Three Energy weapons hit every round for steady pressure, while a single Kinetic weapon fires every other round and lands the hardest single shot. Time your repairs and mitigation for the rounds the Kinetic weapon comes around, since both groups can critically hit for 1.8 times damage.
| Weapon type | Count | Damage per shot | Fires | Crit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Energie | 3 | 40,500,000–49,500,000 | Every round | 10% (1.8x) |
| Kinetic | 1 | 81,000,000–99,000,000 | Every other round | 10% (1.8x) |
Is the Frontier Raider worth grinding?
If you are at endgame and building 6-star Explorer or Vermessungsschiffe, the Frontier Raider is a steady source of Broken parts and ship XP, and the single Explorer hull keeps crewing simple once you have a Battleship ready. The hazard-zone spawns cost more warp for the same drops, so farm the regular systems unless you are already parked deep in that space. Pick a level your ship can clear comfortably, match your warp to the systems on the list above, and bring a Battleship so you hold the hull advantage from the first round.
