One Man’s Villain is a five-part mission chain in Star Trek Fleet Command that pulls you into a Bajoran Resistance case running through Der Weltraum 9. It opens with a plea for help in the Kejal system and moves through Quark’s smuggling contacts, a run-in with the Jem’Hadar, and a tense standoff with Gul Dukat over Major Kira. The chain is built for level 40 commanders and reaches warp 45 at its farthest point. It pays out a Gul Dukat officer shard on both the first and last parts, along with a heavy resource haul: 45,000,000 Parsteel, 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 1,200 Latinum and 4★ ship parts for three hull types. The Ressourcen are the main reason to finish it.
One Man’s Villain at a glance
Each part unlocks the next, so you run them in order from Part 1. Every part launches from warp 1, so the warp-to-complete number is the distance you travel out and plan around. The middle of the chain is the long stretch: Part 3 pushes out to warp 45 and Part 2 to warp 40 before the last two parts settle at warp 35.

Der Schurke eines Mannes Teil 1

Der Schurke eines Mannes Teil 3
The trail runs into the Jem’Hadar and you have to escape. You fight them off in Alafoss, flee to Karemma, and then the mission asks whether to bribe the Jem’Hadar or fight your way through. The two answers send you down different paths with different rewards. The game lists a recommended level of 1 here, but with warp 45 to complete and level 40 hostiles to clear on both paths, treat it as a level 40 part like the rest of the chain.
- Defend yourself from the Jem’Hadar. (Alafoss)
- Flee to safety. (Karemma)
- Decide how to handle the Jem’Hadar.
Warp to complete: 45. This is the longest leg in the chain.

- Defeat 5 hostiles of level 40 or higher in Karemma.

Tips for completing One Man’s Villain
Two objectives cost resources outright: Part 2 takes 7.5M Tritanium to buy intel, and the bribe path in Part 3 spends 1.5M Dilithium. Stockpile both before you start so the chain does not stall halfway.
Combat shows up in Part 3, where you first defend yourself from the Jem’Hadar in Alafoss and then clear five hostiles of level 40 or higher in Karemma, and again in Part 5 when you defend yourself at Rakan. Bring a crew rated for level 40 fights on both, and ignore the level 1 listing on Part 3.
The choice in Part 3 only changes the resource reward. The bribe path pays out 20.1M Tritanium, the fight path pays out about 4.5M Dilithium, and both give the same 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens and Peace Shields. Pick the resource you actually need. Distance is the other thing to plan for: Part 3 sits at warp 45 and Part 2 at warp 40, so keep a fast ship ready for the middle of the chain.
One Man’s Villain is one of the Deep Space 9 storyline chains. The Deep Space Nine arc page lists the others.
Are the One Man’s Villain rewards worth it?
For a level 40 commander, yes, mostly for the resources. The chain hands you 45,000,000 Parsteel across Parts 1 and 4, 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens in Part 3, 1,200 Latinum, and 4★ ship parts across interceptor, explorer and battleship hulls. Gul Dukat drops only one shard in Part 1 and one in Part 5, so the officer is a small bonus rather than the reason to run it. The warp 40 and 45 legs are the real time cost.
