Dossier 3: Associated Risks is a single Section 31 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, recommended for level 40. Sloan sends you to protect a Vulcan research station that studies the Mirror Universe and passes much of its work to Section 31. Die Terranisches Reich has targeted it because it gave asylum to Mirror Vulcan refugees. The mission starts at warp 1 and needs only warp 10 to complete, and it pays 9.3 million Tritanium, 5,000 Latinum, 155,000 Officer XP and 300 Section 31 Mirror Cipher. It is short on travel but includes a round of Section 31: Wave Defense.
Dossier 3: Associated Risks objectives
There are six objectives and no choice split:
- Meet with Sloan. Location: Maluria.
- Contact the academic. Location: Eravan.
- Defeat the Terran ship. Location: Eravan. Enemy strength about 3.6 million.
- Head to the research station. Location: Samsara.
- Survive a round of Section 31: Wave Defense near the Samsara system.
- Report back to Sloan. Location: Maluria.
In Eravan you meet Suriak, a scientist from the station. His team’s experiments opened a rift that let a Mirror Vulcan ship through, and the Terrans now believe the station is sheltering rebels. A Terran ship hiding in a nearby asteroid field is after Suriak’s credentials, which would let it pass the station’s protective barrier. Once it is beaten, its logs show a full Terran attack is coming, so you escort Suriak home and call in Section 31’s Independent network for the defence.
Wo und welcher Warp
No pickup system is listed and the mission starts at warp 1. Completing it needs warp 10. Maluria, Eravan and Samsara are all close together, so travel is light.
The recommended level is 40. The Terran ship in Eravan, at roughly 3.6 million strength, is the one named fight, and the Wave Defense round near Samsara is the other combat step. The mission’s own prompt explains how to start it: pick a Wave Defense system and press Defend, and only docked ships can start one.

Dossier 3 is the only one of the four that pays Section 31 Mirror Cipher.
Tips
Dock before the Wave Defense step. The mission states that only docked ships can start a Wave Defense, so after the Samsara visit, bring your ship home and launch the round from there.
Travel is not the issue here. With a warp 10 finish, any ship can make the trip, so choose one for the Terran fight and the Wave Defense round.
