Deposition is a five-part Star Trek Fleet Command mission chain in which you help Berron bring down Arrogen Industries and its chairman Luric, one Ferengi Rule of Acquisition at a time. Parts 1 to 3 are recommended for level 40 and Parts 4 and 5 for level 41. It starts on Ferenginar, and warp to complete swings between 24 and 70. The chain pays 11,300 Latinum in total, huge amounts of Parsteel, Tritanium and Dilithium, and Quark shards at the end. Expect a 25M Tritanium payment and fights above 6M strength.

Tips for completing Deposition

Warp is the first thing to check. Parts 2 and 4 need warp 70 and Part 1 needs 64, while Parts 3 and 5 drop back to 24 and 25. A ship that cannot reach warp 70 will stall at Part 2, so sort out your warp range before you begin.

The enemies are far stronger than the level 40 label suggests. The Part 2 security detail is about 3.36M strength, and every named fight from Part 3 onward sits between about 5.77M and 6.63M. Part 5 has three of those back to back, so bring your strongest ship and repair before the Ferenginar showdown.

Part 2 costs 25M Tritanium. The 9.6M Tritanium from Part 1 covers part of that, so have the rest banked before you meet the data forger. Part 2 then pays 117.5M Parsteel, and Part 4 adds another 7.25M Tritanium.

Parts 3 and 5 are the quicker ones. Both stay at warp 25 or below, and Part 3 has only two fights, both in Lorillia, before the delivery run to Exchange Alpha. Part 5 is short on travel but long on combat, since all three of its named enemies sit above 6.3M strength.

Part 1 asks for 12 hostiles of level 40 or higher twice, once after Doka and once after Sileo, so it is the slowest part to clear. The Missionsleitfaden lists other chains at this level.

Are the Deposition rewards worth it?

Yes, if your ship can handle warp 70 and 6M-strength fights. The chain pays 11,300 Latinum, more than 184M Parsteel, nearly 17M Tritanium, almost 4M Dilithium, 110 three-hour speed-ups, 500 Ultra Recruit Tokens and Quark shards. The 25M Tritanium payment in Part 2 is the only real cost, and the rest of the chain repays it several times over.
