Ambitions is an early station mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you provide Maia with additional power. It has a recommended level of 7, needs only warp 1, and has one objective: upgrade Operations to level 7. The reward is 8,000 Parsteel, and completing it unlocks Mass Production. It pays well for an upgrade you need at this stage anyway.

The story line is to provide Maia with additional power. There is one objective and no choice split:
- Upgrade Operations to Level 7.
No system is named, no hostile is listed and nothing is donated. The mission clears when Operations reaches level 7.
Where and what warp
Warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, with no pickup system. The whole mission happens on your station.
The recommended level is 7, which matches the Operations level you are building toward.

Before you can start Operations 7 you need the Shipyard at 6 and the Tritanium Warehouse at 3. The 8,000 Parsteel reward is four times the 2,000 Parsteel the upgrade costs, and it also covers the 6,000 Parsteel for Operations 8 that comes next.

The mission pays 8,000 Parsteel. Completing it also unlocks the next mission, Mass Production.
How it fits the missions around it
Ambitions sits in Maia’s early storyline, and Operations 7 also has a plain station mission of its own. Current game data:

Ambitions and Upgrade Operations to Level 7 ask for the same upgrade, but Ambitions pays far more. Mass Production follows with Tritanium Generator B, which Operations 8 later needs at level 4.
Tips
Build the requirements first. Tritanium Warehouse 3 costs only 700 Parsteel, so the Shipyard is usually the one to plan around.
Do not skip Mass Production. It unlocks right after this mission, pays another 3,500 Parsteel and 250 Tritanium, and the Tritanium Generator B it asks for has to reach level 4 before Operations 8 can start.
Put the Parsteel straight into Operations 8. At 6,000 Parsteel, it is covered by this reward with room to spare. Other missions sorted by level are on the mission guide.
