Alliance Warbird

The Alliance Warbird is a Mirror Universe hostile in Star Trek Fleet Command, spawning from level 35 to level 70 in mirror space. Its levels come in two separate bands: a single level 35 spawn in Mirror Cardassia, then a main band from level 45 to 70 at warp 75 to 800. Every version is a Battleship, so the counter never changes: bring an Interceptor. Main-band kills pay Raw Trellium-A and Raw Trellium-D.

How to beat the Alliance Warbird

The Warbird only ever spawns as a Battleship, which removes all the guesswork. Interceptors beat Battleships, so your strongest Interceptor is the right pick at every level in the range. There is nothing to swap between systems; if your Interceptor clears the level 45 spawn, the same class stays correct all the way to 70, provided its power keeps up.

Its two built-in abilities feed each other. Deadlock hull breaches your ship at combat start and holds the breach for the entire fight. Dismantlement and Photophobia then punish it: at the start of any round in which your ship is hull breached, the Warbird gains 20% weapon damage and 10% Isolytic Damage for that round. Because Deadlock never lets the breach drop, both bonuses are effectively permanent. Plan for a short fight and a repair afterward instead of trying to outlast it.

Crew by principle rather than a fixed list: a captain whose ability boosts weapon damage against hostiles, filled out with officers that add damage or mitigation. The cadet trio of Cadet Kirk as captain with Cadet Spock and Cadet Uhura is enough for the level 35 spawn, but the main band wants stronger rosters, so check the officer tier list for current picks. Crews shift with the meta, so treat any named combination as a starting point rather than a rule.

Where to find the Alliance Warbird

The Warbird patrols the same mirror systems as the other Alliance hostiles. The lone level 35 version sits in Mirror Cardassia at warp 50. The main band starts wide at level 45 with seven systems at warp 75, narrows through the level 48 and 50 systems at warp 120 to 125, and ends with the level 68 and 70 spawns behind a warp 800 requirement. Check your warp range against the table before committing to a grind spot.

Level Warp Systems
35 50 Mirror Cardassia
45 75 Mirror Aletara, Mirror Archanis [Extract], Mirror Ganalda, Mirror Khitomer, Mirror K’amia, Mirror Urthak, Mirror Yadow
48 120 Mirror Hoeven [Extract], Mirror Kronos, Mirror Ty’Gokor
50 125 Mirror Morska
58 230 Mirror Beta Penthe
60 230 Mirror Velata
68 800 Mirror Carraya [Extract]
70 800 Mirror Gya’han

Rewards and what it drops

Trellium is the point of this grind. Raw Trellium-A drops from level 45 up and Raw Trellium-D joins at level 48, and the per-kill amounts grow quickly with level: 5 to 3,500 Trellium-A and 8 to 4,400 Trellium-D across the band. The level 35 spawn is the odd one out, paying 5,000 to 10,000 Parsteel and no Trellium at all, which makes it a mission target rather than a farming stop. Ship XP climbs the same curve, from 703 per kill at level 35 to 51,800 at level 70.

Drop What it is
Raw Trellium-A Mirror Universe material for the mirror arc; drops from level 45 up
Raw Trellium-D Second Trellium grade, gathered the same way; drops from level 48 up
Parsteel Basic construction resource; only the level 35 spawn pays it

Alliance Warbird firing pattern

The Warbird runs two weapon groups on different clocks. Two Energy weapons fire every round for steady chip damage, while a single Kinetic weapon lands roughly double the per-shot damage every other round. The Kinetic rounds are the spikes, so if you carry any round-timed mitigation, save it for them. Figures below come from the lowest-level record and scale up with level.

Weapon type Count Damage per shot Fires Crit
Energy 2 55,477–67,806 Every round 10% (1.5x)
Kinetic 1 133,145–162,733 Every other round 10% (1.5x)

The Klingon-Cardassian Alliance in Star Trek

Star Trek’s mirror universe debuted in the original series episode “Mirror, Mirror,” where a transporter accident dropped Kirk into the savage Terran Empire. When Deep Space Nine revisited that universe in “Crossover,” the Empire was long gone: Spock’s reforms had softened it, and the Klingons and Cardassians swept in, conquered Terran space, and put humans in labor camps. Their Klingon-Cardassian Alliance is the power Star Trek Fleet Command’s mirror arc borrows, and warbirds like this one are its heavy enforcement, holding the mirror copies of Klingon systems such as Kronos and Khitomer.

Is the Alliance Warbird worth grinding?

Yes, whenever the Mirror Universe arc asks for Trellium. As the Battleship of the Alliance patrol set, it suits players whose best hostile-crusher is an Interceptor. The level 45 band offers the most systems for the lowest warp cost, and the 68 and 70 spawns pay the largest hauls if you can reach warp 800. Skip the level 35 version unless a mission sends you there, and budget for repairs, since Deadlock guarantees hull damage in every single fight.
