A Galaxy at War is a seven-part chain that has you hauling food and supplies around Klingon and Romulan space, and it ends with you standing trial in front of a Klingon tribunal. All seven parts are tuned for level 34, and the travel peaks at warp 33 in Part 6. Across the chain you pick up Martok shards, 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens, and roughly 20 million Parsteel. Two choices sit inside it, and the one in Part 7 decides which storyline you run next.
A Galaxy at War at a glance
| Part | Recommended level | Warp to complete | Main reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| A Galaxy at War Part 1 | 34 | 22 | 1 Martok shard |
| A Galaxy at War Part 2 | 34 | 27 | 150 Premium Recruit Tokens |
| A Galaxy at War Part 3 | 34 | 26 | 3,156,000 Parsteel |
| A Galaxy at War Part 4 | 34 | 30 | 269,000 Dilithium |
| A Galaxy at War Part 5 | 34 | 28 | 13,673,000 Parsteel |
| A Galaxy at War Part 6 | 34 | 33 | 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens |
| A Galaxy at War Part 7 | 34 | 26 | 1 Martok or 1 Gowron shard |
Every part starts at warp 1 and unlocks the next one as you finish it, so nothing gates you once Part 1 opens. The chain picks up after Duality Arc Part 2. Your answer at the end of Part 7 splits the story into either A Galaxy at War Part 8 (Klingon War) or A Galaxy at War Part 8 (Romulan Diplomacy).
A Galaxy at War Part 1
Roj and Worf want you carrying a message of peace into Klingon space, which in practice means buying food from a gagh farmer.
- Rendez-vous with Roj and Worf, in Redmond (level 28, neutral)
- Explore the Klingon community, in Morska (level 29, Klingon)
- Speak with the gagh farmer, in Morska
- Decide whether to pay the farmer for the food rations
Warp to complete: 22.
The choice splits the rest of the part. If you pay, you hand over 15,000,000 Parsteel and then collect the rations in Morska. If you decline, you collect the rations in Morska and pay nothing.
- Pay the farmer: 1 Martok shard, 444,000 Dilithium, 2,217,000 Tritanium
- Do not pay the farmer: 1 Martok shard, 3,857,000 Parsteel, 1 four-hour Peace Shield
A Galaxy at War Part 2
The rations need to reach a community in the middle of a food shortage, and the route there is contested.
- Set a course for Eeli (level 33, Klingon)
- Defeat 15 hostiles of level 33 or higher
- Deliver the rations, in Eeli
- Report back to the gagh farmer, in Morska
- Return to your station
Warp to complete: 27.
Rewards: 150 Premium Recruit Tokens, 83,000 Officer XP, 1,186,000 Tritanium.
A Galaxy at War Part 3
Same errand, different neighbours. This is the shortest part in the chain and has no combat at all.
- Meet with the Romulan community representative, in Tandorian (level 31, Romulan)
- Learn about Romulan culture, in Tandorian
- Pick up the supplies, in Tandorian
Warp to complete: 26.
Rewards: 3,156,000 Parsteel, 6 three-hour speed ups.
A Galaxy at War Part 4
A Romulan colony is under siege, and the delivery run turns into a fight with a Tal Shiar agent waiting for you on the way back.
- Set a course for Aesir (level 34, Romulan)
- Defeat 10 hostiles of level 34 or higher
- Deliver the supplies, in Aesir
- Return to Tandorian
- Defeat the Tal Shiar agent in Tandorian, strength around 902,683
- Report back to the community representative, in Tandorian
Warp to complete: 30.
Rewards: 269,000 Dilithium, 17 three-hour speed ups, 14 3★ Uncommon Refined Gas.
A Galaxy at War Part 5
Roj’s colony has been destroyed and the trail leads to Gowron. This is the heaviest combat part, with a named target and a ten-kill objective in a level 35 system.
- Set a course for Roj’s colony, in Januu (level 33, neutral)
- Investigate the rubble, in Januu
- Defeat the Klingon Extremist in Januu, strength around 910,378
- Confront Gowron, in Lixar (level 35, Klingon)
- Defeat 10 hostiles of level 34 or higher in Lixar
Warp to complete: 28.
Rewards: 13,673,000 Parsteel, 403,000 Dilithium.
A Galaxy at War Part 6
Confronting Gowron has consequences, and the Klingons put you on trial for it. Gorkon is your way in.
- Ask Gorkon to intercede on your behalf, in Beta Penthe (level 34, Klingon)
- Set a course for Tullias (level 31, Klingon)
- Appear before the tribunal, in Tullias
Warp to complete: 33, the furthest the chain sends you.
Rewards: 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 62,000 Dilithium, 1 one-day speed up.
A Galaxy at War Part 7
The verdict comes with a 3,000,000 Tritanium fine, so have that banked before you start. Once it is paid, you pick a side and the chain hands you off to the matching Part 8.
- Hear the judges’ verdict, in Tullias
- Pay the fine of 3,000,000 Tritanium
- Choose diplomacy with the Romulans or war with the Klingons
Warp to complete: 26.
Both answers finish with a return to your station, and the rewards differ:
- Pursue diplomacy with the Romulans: 1 Martok shard, 464,000 Dilithium, 24 3★ Uncommon Refined Crystal
- Join the war with the Klingons: 1 Gowron shard, 2,320,000 Tritanium, 24 3★ Uncommon Refined Ore
Tips for completing A Galaxy at War
Check your warp range first. Part 6 needs warp 33 and Part 4 needs warp 30, so a ship that only reaches the low twenties will stall you halfway through a chain you have already started.
Two parts cost resources rather than pay them. Part 7 charges a flat 3,000,000 Tritanium fine you cannot avoid, and Part 1 offers a 15,000,000 Parsteel payment you can. Declining that payment is the cheaper route by a wide margin: you keep the Parsteel and the reward is larger, 3,857,000 Parsteel and a four-hour Peace Shield against 444,000 Dilithium and 2,217,000 Tritanium.
Combat lands in three places. Part 2 asks for 15 hostiles at level 33 or higher, Part 4 wants 10 at level 34 or higher plus a Tal Shiar agent near 902,683 strength, and Part 5 stacks a Klingon Extremist near 910,378 with another 10 hostiles in Lixar. Lixar is a level 35 system, the highest the chain visits, so clear it with a crew you would take into a level 35 grind rather than the one you use for hauling.
The delivery parts are travel-heavy and quiet. Part 3 has no combat at all, and Part 6 is three stops with nothing to shoot, so both are good candidates to run while your combat ship is repairing.
Are the A Galaxy at War rewards worth it?
Yes, mostly for the officers and the tokens. Martok shards drop in Part 1 and again on the diplomacy ending, Gowron shards only on the war ending, and the 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens in Part 6 are the single biggest item in the chain. Around 20 million Parsteel and 1.2 million Dilithium land on top of that. The 3,000,000 Tritanium fine is the only real cost if you skip the optional payment in Part 1.
