A Feeble Attempt is a Klingon storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. You go to meet a Starfleet representative in Laynso, and the meeting turns into a fight with two Starfleet ships. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but it needs warp 100 to complete and both ships are near 2 million strength. The reward is 7,245,000 Tritanium, 196,000 Officer XP, 600 Klingon Credits and 260,000 Klingon Points, and it unlocks As It Were.
A Feeble Attempt objectives
Four objectives, no choice split:
- Meet with a Starfleet representative in Laynso. Location: Laynso.
- Defeat the USS Sherman. Location: Laynso (enemy strength about 1,950,820).
- Defeat the USS Silverback. Location: Laynso (enemy strength about 1,969,977).
- Return to your Station.
Everything away from home is in Laynso. After the meeting, the USS Sherman and the USS Silverback attack one after the other.
Where and what warp
You can accept it at warp 1. Warp 100 is needed to complete it.
The listed recommended level is 1. Two fights close to 2 million strength each are the real test, along with the warp 100 range.
The route is one round trip to Laynso. All three objectives there happen in sequence.

Each step adds five warp to the finish. The Klingon Points and Credits are the same as in Sacrilege, but A Feeble Attempt pays Tritanium and Officer XP where Sacrilege paid Dilithium.
Tips
Repair between the Sherman and the Silverback if you can. They are almost the same strength and come back to back, so the second fight is where a damaged ship loses.
The story line calls it a meeting with a Starfleet representative, but two fights with Starfleet ships follow straight after, so treat it as a combat mission rather than a diplomatic one.
196,000 Officer XP is a large amount at this stage and worth putting into the officers you rely on most.
