Upgrade Operations to Level 36 is one of the station upgrade missions in Star Trek Fleet Command. It has one objective, raising your Operations building to level 36, and it needs warp 1 to start and to complete, so there is no travel and no combat. The game lists it at recommended level 1. The reward is 7,500,000 Tritanium and one 3 Hour Repair Speed Up, which more than covers the Tritanium the upgrade itself costs.
Upgrade Operations to Level 36 objectives
There is a single objective and no choice split:
- Upgrade Operations to Level 36.
The mission’s story line is the game’s description of the building: Operations houses the command center and the Station’s main computer. In the game’s own words, upgrading Operations unlocks more buildings for construction, so this series of missions follows your main station progression.
Where and what warp
No system is attached to the objective, and warp 1 is listed both to start and to complete. Everything happens at your station. The recommended level is 1, which only means the mission itself has no level gate; the real requirement is the upgrade.
What Operations 36 asks for
Current game data lists this base cost and unboosted build time for Operations level 36:
| Requirement | Amount |
|---|---|
| Parsteel | 387.03M |
| Tritanium | 7.11M |
| Dilithium | 2.37M |
| 3★ Common Refined Ore | 3,500 |
| 3★ Uncommon Refined Ore | 1,370 |
| Unboosted build time | 51d 4h |
| Buildings needed first | Shipyard 35, Parsteel Warehouse 31 |
Parsteel is by far the largest line. The 3★ Uncommon Refined Ore is new at this level compared with Operations 35, which asked for 3★ Rare Refined Ore instead, so check your refined stock before you plan the upgrade.
Upgrade Operations to Level 36 rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Tritanium | 7,500,000 |
| 3 Hour Repair Speed Up | 1 |
Completing it unlocks the next mission in the series.
How it compares with the next levels
The neighbouring Operations missions pay in the same shape, a Tritanium lump plus repair speed ups, while the Tritanium cost of each upgrade climbs faster than the reward:
| Mission | Tritanium reward | Repair speed ups | Tritanium cost of the upgrade |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upgrade Operations to Level 36 | 7,500,000 | 1 × 3 Hour | 7.11M |
| Upgrade Operations to Level 37 | 8,000,000 | 1 × 3 Hour | 10.94M |
| Upgrade Operations to Level 38 | 9,000,000 | 2 × 3 Hour | 17.01M |
Level 36 is the only one of the three where the reward is larger than the Tritanium the upgrade costs. From level 37 on, the mission refunds a shrinking share.
Tips
Get Shipyard 35 and Parsteel Warehouse 31 done first. Operations 36 lists both as requirements, so they need to be finished before the upgrade can be queued.
Spend the Tritanium on the next step. The 7.5 million you get back goes a long way toward the 10.94 million Tritanium that Operations 37 costs.
Keep the 3 Hour Repair Speed Up for a badly damaged combat ship, where a long repair timer would otherwise keep it docked.
The previous mission in the series is Upgrade Operations to Level 35 and the next is Upgrade Operations to Level 37. More missions are listed on the mission guide.
