Past Origins is a five-part mission chain that sends you back to the Origin Sector, where the Breen and the Tholians are fighting and a strange signal needs explaining. You investigate the battle sites, try to broker peace, get pulled into the fighting and finally trace where the signal comes from. Every part is recommended for level 25 and completes at warp 20, and the chain opens in Klosi. Every part pays Raw Isogen, 10,501 in total, alongside ship parts, speed ups and a choice of Ultra Recruit Tokens or Parsteel in Part 3. It is a short, cheap chain that is worth running for the Isogen.

Tips for completing Past Origins
Warp 20 covers the whole chain. Every part completes at that range, so once your ship can reach it you will not need anything more. The action moves between a handful of systems: Tola Alpha, Beta Assembly and New Dozaria come up more than once, so the trips get familiar quickly.
Combat is limited to Parts 3 and 4, with four named fights between roughly 101,000 and 133,000 strength. Part 3 puts its two fights back to back in Beta Assembly, so repair before you start it. Parts 1, 2 and 5 have no fights at all, which makes them easy to run while your combat ship is in the repair bay.
No part asks for a donation or payment, so the only costs are fuel and repair time.
For the Part 3 choice, pick by what you are short on: 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 954,000 Parsteel with five one-day speed ups, or 230 3★ Battleship Parts. The Part 2 choice is smaller, trading 140 3★ Interceptor Parts for a little refined gas and Ship XP.
The Isogen comes in two grades. Parts 1 and 5 pay 4,501 2⇴ Raw Isogen between them, and Parts 2, 3 and 4 pay 6,000 1⇴ Raw Isogen, so track both if you are saving toward something specific.
Are the Past Origins rewards worth it?
Yes. For five short parts at a single warp range, with only four fights and no resource costs, you collect 10,501 Raw Isogen across two grades, a useful Part 3 reward choice, 3★ ship parts and a handful of speed ups. It fits well into a level 25 session alongside other chains in the mission guide.
