Turas Entdeckerschiff

The Turas is a grade 2 Common Explorer from the Independent faction in Star Trek Fleet Command, built as a heavier, more capable version of the starter Realta. Its always-on Interceptor Hunter ability raises weapon damage when it faces an Interceptor, which points it at hostile hunting and early player fights against that hull. You unlock it at Shipyard level 12. For a young account working through neutral space, it is a cheap step up rather than a long-term keeper.

Star Trek Fleet Command Turas

How to get the Turas

The Turas needs 35 blueprints, and building it requires Shipyard level 12 plus the Unlock Turas research. The build costs 12,500 Tritanium and finishes in about 13 hours. Where the blueprints show up rotates over time, so check what is currently offering them in game rather than counting on any single source. Once you reach Operations level 12 the Turas becomes scrappable, so it can later be recycled into parts and resources when a stronger Explorer takes its place.

Turas ability

The ship ability is Interceptor Hunter. When the Turas fights an Interceptor, it increases its own weapon damage, starting at 10% at ship level 1 and climbing to 50% by level 35. Ship abilities are always active, so that bonus applies on its own whenever the target is an Interceptor and adds nothing against other hull types. That makes the Turas a targeted counter: send it after Interceptor hostiles or players and the damage boost does real work, but treat it as a plain hull when it meets an Explorer or a Battleship. This specialization is the main reason to fly the Turas over an ordinary Explorer of the same grade.

Stats and tiers

Base values from the current game data; research, buffs, and officers raise them in play.

Ebene Warp (speed / range) Impulse Cargo (protected) Shield HP Hull HP Health (displayed)
1 2.5 / 11 110 3,000 (80) 800 370 585
4 2.8 / 14 110 6,320 (100) 1,080 370 725
7 3.1 / 17 110 14,500 (150) 2,420 370 1,395

The shield does all the growing here. Hull HP holds at 370 across every tier while the shield climbs from 800 to 2,420, so most of the Turas survivability sits in a shield you want to keep up in a fight. Cargo rises steeply from 3,000 to 14,500 but keeps only 150 protected at the top, which tells you it can carry a load without being a safe hauler for anything you cannot afford to lose.

Weapons and firing pattern

Warm-up is the round a weapon first fires; cool-down is the number of rounds between shots after that. The Turas carries two identical energy weapons at max tier, both firing from the opening round, and both are the guns Interceptor Hunter boosts.

Waffe Typ Shots Warm-up Cool-down Damage Crit chance Crit damage
Energy weapon 1 Energie 1 1 1 630–771 10% 150%
Energy weapon 2 Energie 1 1 1 630–771 10% 150%

Both weapons fire every round with no ramp-up, so the Turas puts out steady energy damage from turn one. Against an Interceptor the ability stacks on top of that base output, which is where this hull earns its keep.

Crew slots and officer bonus

The Turas opens officer slots as it levels, reaching a full bridge of five at ship level 35.

Ship level Officer slots
5 1
10 2
15 3
25 4
35 5

The ship also boosts the officers you seat on it, stepping up as it progresses. The bonus to your officers’ attack, defense, and health climbs from 23% at the first step to 230% at the top, and those three stats move together at every step. Five seats give the Turas enough room to run a real bridge, which matters more here than on the two-slot Realta it replaces.

Crew for the Turas

Interceptor Hunter rewards weapon damage, so the crew principle is to stack more attack and weapon damage on top of the ability and lean into fights the Turas is built to win. A captain who raises weapon damage or critical hits turns the Interceptor bonus into a real spike, and bridge officers that add attack or punish an enemy’s hull help finish Interceptor targets faster. If you are using the Turas for early survey or neutral-space travel instead of combat, seat mining or protected-cargo officers for that job rather than attack. Current best picks shift with the game’s meta, so check the Officer Tier List for who is strong right now and build around your own roster.

The Turas in Star Trek

The Turas is original to Star Trek Fleet Command and has no counterpart on screen. The game frames it as a heavily modified update of the Realta, carrying more power and capability while keeping the same homegrown, independent character. It shows up often with the more advanced Independent groups that operate in contested, neutral space, which is why it reads as a working ship for people who live between the major factions rather than the product of a big Federation or Klingonisch shipyard.

Is the Turas worth it?

For an early account, yes, within its grade. The Turas is a cheap, fast build that gives you a five-seat Explorer with a built-in edge against Interceptors, which is common early hostile fodder. It holds up better than the Realta and gives you a hull to grind and hunt with while you work toward grade 3. It is not a ship you keep for long once stronger Explorers open up, and because it becomes scrappable at Operations level 12, most players eventually recycle it for parts rather than mothball it. Chase it if you want a low-cost Interceptor counter to bridge the early game.
