The Godsend is an Epic Chaos Tech artifact that slots onto a ship and turns it into a hostile killer. Its headline buff raises your base weapon damage against hostiles by up to 1,600%, backed by a big Apex Barrier boost and, from tier 2, an Apex Shred bonus that eats into hostile defenses. It is built for players who grind hostiles, and for that one job it hits about as hard as Chaos Tech gets.

What The Godsend does

The Godsend carries three buffs, and all three point at hostiles. The primary one raises base weapon damage against hostiles, starting at 50% when it unlocks and climbing to 1,600% at max tier and level. The other two shore up how your ship performs in Apex hostile fights: Apex Barrier adds a defensive cushion against non-Armada hostiles, and Apex Shred cuts into the barrier your targets rely on.

Buff Unlocks at tier Unlock value Max value
Base weapon damage vs hostiles Stufe 1 50% 1,600%
Apex Barrier vs non-Armada hostiles Stufe 1 400 1,500
Apex Shred vs hostiles Stufe 2 1% 35%

In play, the weapon damage buff is the reason to chase this piece: against hostiles your ship deals far more damage per round. The Apex Barrier value helps you survive longer against single hostiles, and Apex Shred strips protection off the targets you are shooting, so both damage and staying power improve on the same ship. All values here are current as of the latest game data.

How to get The Godsend

The Godsend is Chaos Tech, so it lives in the Continuum system rather than the standard Forbidden Tech refinery. You unlock and build Chaos Tech through the Continuum refinery, exchanging Chaos Tech Fragments into the materials the piece needs. You earn those Fragments when you pick up excess Chaos Tech shards. To fit the piece to a ship you spend Chaos Tech Fusion Rods, which open a Chaos Tech slot and can also pull Chaos Tech back off a ship later. Fusion Rods come from the Continuum refinery or the store.

Upgrading The Godsend

Chaos Tech upgrades along two tracks. Tiers raise the level cap and unlock later buffs: Apex Shred stays inactive until you tier the piece up to tier 2. Levels then scale each buff toward its maximum at level 60. You tier up with Chaos Tech Tier-Up Catalyst, and you level up with Chaos Tech Reactor and Chaosmatter.

Ebene Level cap Kosten
Stufe 1 5 Starting tier, no cost
Stufe 7 35 18,000 Chaos Tech Tier-Up Catalyst
Stufe 12 60 22,000 Chaos Tech Tier-Up Catalyst

Reaching max tier costs 182,800 Chaos Tech Tier-Up Catalyst in total. Taking the piece from level 2 to level 60 costs 112,800 Chaos Tech Reactor and 261,475 Chaosmatter. You gather Chaosmatter and Chaos Tech Reactor by defeating Assimilated El-Aurian hostiles and exchanging their loot in the Continuum refinery, or by buying them from the store.

Best ships and uses for The Godsend

Every buff on The Godsend targets hostiles, so it belongs on the ship you use to grind them. The Apex Barrier line calls out non-Armada hostiles, which means this piece is tuned for single hostile kills rather than armadas. Slot it on your main hostile grinder and it raises both how fast you clear targets and how long your ship lasts against them. If you are working through Apex hostiles for loot and rewards, this is a natural fit. For target selection and grinding routes, our hostile guide covers where to farm. There is no ship-specific buff here, so The Godsend works on whatever hull you already run against hostiles.

The Godsend in Star Trek

The Godsend is a game-original piece of Mirror Universe lore rather than a device that appeared on screen. In the story the game tells, Emperor Philippa Georgiou of the Terran Empire commissioned it as a hidden last resort, a weapon said to be able to lay waste to an area the size of a quadrant. Georgiou later ordered it destroyed, only to learn the order was never carried out, and Section 31 recovered the weapon from the Mirror Universe. Georgiou, the Terran Empire, and Section 31 are all established Star Trek canon, but the device itself is specific to Star Trek Fleet Command.

Is The Godsend worth it?

If you spend real time grinding hostiles, The Godsend is worth chasing. A weapon damage buff that reaches 1,600% against hostiles is a serious upgrade for any grinder ship, and the Apex Barrier and Apex Shred buffs make the same ship both tougher and more efficient. Players who mostly run armadas or player combat will get less from it, since every buff is locked to hostiles. For a dedicated hostile crew, taking it to max tier pays off.
