Experimental Weaponry is a short mining mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you help a weapons dealer find resources for his new prototype. It needs warp 13 to start and to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. You can pick it up in any of 13 systems. The job is simple: mine 5,000 Tritanium and donate it. The reward is 93,000 Parsteel and 12 2★ Ungewöhnlich Refined Ore, a good return for a no-combat job.
Experimental Weaponry objectives
Es gibt zwei Ziele und keine Verzweigung:
- Mine 5,000 Tritanium.
- Donate 5,000 Tritanium.
Neither step names a system. Mine the Tritanium from any node you can reach, then hand it over to complete the mission.
No hostile is listed.
Wo und welcher Warp
The mission can be picked up in any of these systems: Skyedark, Zhang, Kaus Media, Eizeb, Dalukerinborva, Bubeau, Aciben, Todem, Helvetios, Vemet, Bharani, Eisenhorn and Wezen. Warp 13 covers both the pickup and the completion.
The recommended level is listed as 1. All you need is warp 13 range to reach a pickup system and a ship that can mine Tritanium.
Experimental Weaponry rewards
| Belohnung | Amount |
|---|---|
| Parsteel | 93,000 |
| 2★ Uncommon Refined Erze | 12 |
Experimental Weaponry does not unlock a follow-up mission.
How it compares with other mining missions
Several low-warp Missionen ask you to mine a resource, sometimes with a donation on top. Current game Daten:
| Mission | Warp | Pickup | What you mine | Belohnungen |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hausgemachtes Tritanium | 11 | Zaurak, Elona | 900 Tritanium | 4,000 Parsteel, 3 K'Bisch shards |
| Experimentelle Waffensysteme | 13 | 13 systems | 5,000 Tritanium, then donate it | 93,000 Parsteel, 12 2★ Uncommon Refined Ore |
| Unterstützung | 18 | Gemet | 80,000 Tritanium, then donate it | 22 3★ Uncommon Refined Gas, 22,000 Dilithium |
Experimental Weaponry sits between the two in both the amount you mine and the warp. It is the one to pick if you want Parsteel, since the others pay officer shards or Dilithium and refined Gas instead.
There is one practical difference to keep in mind. Home Grown Tritanium only asks you to mine, so you keep what you collect. Experimental Weaponry and Assistance both take the mined Tritanium back as a donation, so the reward is all you end up with.
Tips
Use a mining ship with a good Tritanium rate. The whole mission is mining, so a dedicated miner finishes it much faster than a combat ship.
Mine close to the pickup. With 13 pickup systems to choose from, accept the mission in the one nearest a Tritanium node you already use.
Donating 5,000 Tritanium for 93,000 Parsteel is a fair trade at this stage, and the refined ore is a small bonus toward early upgrades that ask for it.
