Best Served Cold is a Star Trek Fleet Command mission where you lead a Rigellian captain into enemy territory and make him pay for his crimes. The game lists a recommended level of 1, it needs warp 13 to start and to complete, and it can be picked up in 17 different systems. You steal Captain Tormund’s banner trophy in Bubeau, lure him to Kosz and defeat him there. The reward is 53,000 Parsteel.
Best Served Cold objectives
Three objectives, no choice split:
- Steal Captain Tormund’s banner trophy. Location: Bubeau.
- Lead Captain Tormund to Kosz. Location: Kosz.
- Defeat Captain Tormund. Location: Kosz (enemy strength about 16,207).
The trophy theft in Bubeau is the bait. Tormund follows you to Kosz, and the fight happens there once he arrives. The story line explains why: Tormund has crimes to answer for, and this mission is the payback.
Where and what warp
Best Served Cold needs warp 13 to start and to complete. It can be picked up in any of these systems: Skyedark, Bubeau, Todem, Eisenhorn, Vemet, Zeta Polis, Wasat, Gelvin, Kosz, Aciben, Wezen, Helvetios, Kaus Media, Bharani, Zhang, Dalukerinborva or Eizeb.
The recommended level is listed as 1. Captain Tormund at about 16,200 strength is the fight to check your ship against.
Best Served Cold rewards
The reward is 53,000 Parsteel. Best Served Cold is a standalone mission and does not unlock a follow-up.
Tips
With 17 pickup systems, you will often find this mission while doing something else nearby. Bubeau and Kosz are both on the list, so if you accept it in either one, you start next to the first or last objective.
The route is short: Bubeau for the trophy, then Kosz for the lure and the fight. Neither system is visited twice.
The pickup list covers a wide spread of systems, but they all share the same warp 13 requirement, so wherever you accept it, the travel stays short.
Go into Kosz repaired. Tormund is the only fight, and you lead him there yourself, so you control when it starts.
The reward is Parsteel only. At the level where 16,000 strength is a fair fight, 53,000 Parsteel is a solid top-up for building upgrades, so it is worth taking whenever it shows up in a nearby system.
