In Another Life is a Federation story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you are accused of breaking the Temporal Prime Directive. It lists a recommended level of 1 and starts at warp 1, but it needs warp 48 to finish, with stops in Riktor, Azati and Andoria. A choice near the end decides the payout: recruit tokens on the Federation path, or Dilithium and refined gas on the other. Both paths add 60,000 Federation Points.
In Another Life objectives
The first three objectives are shared:
- Visit Ontella on Riktor II. Location: Riktor.
- Take Ontella to Azati Prime. Location: Azati.
- Explain yourself to General Ontella. This is the choice split.
Both branches end with the same travel step, and only the rewards change.
Federation path
- Return Ontella to Andoria Prime. Location: Andoria.
Rewards: 500 Federation Recruit Tokens, 800 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 400 Federation Credits, 60,000 Federation Points and -77,760 Klingon Points.
Path 2
- Return Ontella to Andoria Prime. Location: Andoria.
Rewards: 10 3★ Uncommon Refined Gas, 290,000 Dilithium, 400 Federation Credits, 60,000 Federation Points and -77,760 Klingon Points.
There is no fight in this mission. Every objective is travel or the choice itself, so the whole mission is a matter of reaching three systems.
Where and what warp
Warp is 1 to start and 48 to complete. The mission takes Ontella from Riktor to Azati and then home to Andoria, and warp 48 is the figure that covers the full route.
The listed recommended level is 1, so warp 48 is the number that decides when you can finish it. Plan the trip around the ship with the longest warp range you have.

Completing the mission also unlocks the next part of the storyline.
The faction numbers are fixed. Whichever path you pick, you gain 60,000 Federation Points and 400 Federation Credits and lose 77,760 Klingon Points, so the choice only swaps the recruit tokens for Dilithium and refined gas.
Tips
Pick the path by what you are short of. The Federation path is the recruiting option, with 1,300 recruit tokens in total. Path 2 is the resource option, and 290,000 Dilithium plus 10 refined gas is the better pick if you are saving for upgrades.
Check your Klingon standing before you run it. The -77,760 Klingon Points hit is the same on both paths, so there is no way to avoid it by choosing differently.
Send any ship that can make the jumps. With no combat step, the only thing that matters is reaching Riktor, Azati and Andoria.
