Dead Memories is a five-part Star Trek Fleet Command mission chain from TOS Arc 1 in which you help Spock investigate our universe, study the destruction of Vulcan and finally stop the Disciples of Nero. Every part is recommended for level 40, the chain starts at Argentomea, and the longest trip is warp 40 to Romulus. The rewards are huge for the level: ten TOS Spock shards, over 32 million Parsteel, nearly 7.9 million Tritanium and 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens. Expect several fights above 900,000 strength and an 825,000 Dilithium donation along the way.

Dead Memories Part 1

Spock wants to see how our universe differs from the one he knows, so you ferry him to three locations, ending at Vulcan. The first two stops are in Romulan space and the last is Federation space. There is no combat, and warp to complete is 31.

  • Bring Spock to the first location (Argentomea).
  • Bring Spock to the second location (Calder).
  • Bring Spock to Vulcan (Vulcan).
  • Return to your Station.

Rewards: 401,000 Dilithium, 13,614,000 Parsteel, 5 TOS Spock shards.

Dead Memories Part 2

Spock studies the destruction of Vulcan, which means a trip to the black hole’s location at Romulus and a large Dilithium payment for his experiment. A marauder at around 937,932 strength interrupts the work. Warp to complete is 40, the highest in the chain.

  • Show Spock the black hole’s location (Romulus).
  • Give Spock 825,000 Dilithium for his experiment.
  • Defeat the marauder (Romulus, enemy strength around 937,932).
  • Investigate a spatial anomaly (Netron Alpha).

Rewards: 5,096,000 Tritanium, 50 Latinum, 10 30 Minute Speed Up.

Dead Memories Part 3

More spatial anomalies need checking, and Spock wants a mining sample. You visit Netron Omega, mine 100 Mycelium, and bring it home for him to inspect. Warp to complete is 20.

  • Investigate another anomaly (Netron Omega).
  • Mine 100 Mycelium.
  • Return to your Station.
  • Allow Spock to inspect 100 Mycelium.

Rewards: 34 3★ Uncommon Refined Ore, 34 3★ Uncommon Refined Gas, 34 3★ Uncommon Refined Crystal.

Dead Memories Part 4

A strange signal leads back to Vulcan, where a Romulan and then Renon stand between you and the way out. These are back-to-back fights at around 910,378 and 937,932 strength. Warp to complete is 17.

  • Follow the signal (Vulcan).
  • Defeat the Romulan (Vulcan, enemy strength around 910,378).
  • Defeat Renon (Vulcan, enemy strength around 937,932).
  • Escape!

Rewards: 18,977,000 Parsteel, 2,791,000 Tritanium, 50 15 Minute Repair Speed Up.

Dead Memories Part 5

You stop the Disciples of Nero in a final rematch with Renon. No system is listed for these objectives and warp to complete is 1, but the two fights carry the same strength as Part 4.

  • Defeat Renon’s guard (enemy strength around 910,378).
  • Defeat Renon (enemy strength around 937,932).
  • Bring Spock to Renon.

Rewards: 2 1 Day Peace Shield, 90,000 Officer XP, 400 Ultra Recruit Token, 5 TOS Spock shards.

Tips for completing Dead Memories

Start saving Dilithium early. Part 2 asks for 825,000 Dilithium, and Part 1 only returns 401,000, so you need to cover the rest from your own stock. Part 3 also needs 100 Mycelium mined, so have a mining ship ready once you reach it.

The fights are the real test. There are five of them, all between about 910,000 and 938,000 strength: the marauder in Part 2, the Romulan and Renon in Part 4, and Renon’s guard and Renon again in Part 5. Parts 4 and 5 each stack two fights back to back, so repair fully before you start them. The 50 repair speed-ups from Part 4 help with Part 5.

Warp peaks at 40 in Part 2 and drops after that: 31 for Part 1, 20 for Part 3, 17 for Part 4 and 1 for Part 5. Romulus is the far point of the chain, so if your ship cannot make warp 40 in one run, plan a refuel stop on the way out. Parts 1 and 3 have no fights at all, which makes them good parts to clear while your combat ships are repairing from something else.

Order your ship use around the chain. Part 1 is pure travel, so any ship with enough warp can ferry Spock. Part 3 needs a mining ship for the 100 Mycelium, then the rest of the chain goes back to combat. Keep the refined Ore, Gas and Crystal from Part 3 for upgrades, since 3★ refined materials are a common bottleneck around level 40.

Dead Memories closes TOS Arc 1, which also includes Now and Then, Tribble Me This and Territorial Dispute. It follows Territorial Dispute Part 5, and TOS Arc 2, which includes A Rude Awakening, comes next. The mission guide lists every chain in order.

Are the Dead Memories rewards worth it?

Yes. Ten TOS Spock shards alone justify the chain for a TOS crew, and the resources are some of the biggest at level 40: 32,591,000 Parsteel, 7,887,000 Tritanium, 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 90,000 Officer XP and two 1 Day Peace Shields. The 825,000 Dilithium donation and five fights above 900,000 strength are the price, so make sure your fleet and Dilithium stock can handle both before you start.
